Walked in on a Saturday night for dinner and was seated right away. The ambiance was really lovely, with dim lighting and walls covered with interesting photos that made it feel warm and inviting.

We started with the calamari, which unfortunately was not very good. However, our main dishes more than made up for it. My husband had the special of the night, a gnocchi dish in a beef sauce, and I ordered the fettuccine in a rosa sauce with steak milanesa. We both loved our meals.

They also serve bread and salad with the entrées, which was a nice extra. Our waiter and the food runners were all very friendly and attentive. Overall, it was a great dinner experience despite the appetizer.

We randomly found this place and it was truly one of the best experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the host was welcoming and attentive, even on a busy Saturday night. We only had a short wait, and the whole team made us comfortable right away.

Our server, Strummer, was absolutely exceptional. He was attentive without being pushy, perfectly timed in his service, and really knowledgeable about the menu. The food itself was fantastic—from the calamari to the pasta dishes and those little extras like the soup and salad. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented.

What really stood out was that the quality of the entire experience felt like it exceeded the price point. We truly felt we got more than our money’s worth. We even stopped to thank David, the manager, on the way out because the whole team did such a fantastic job. We can’t wait to come back.

A must visit place to eat authentic Italian food!!! Everything was amazing and so good. The bread they give you at the beginning was delicious and the portion sizes of the food will serve two people. We got the chicken parmigiana and it was perfection!!

I have always loved this restaurant! I first discovered the Dallas location because it was in my neighborhood and was excited when I moved to Allen to find the original location and their pizza. I always add a side of chicken milanese to every pasta…love it with tons of squeezed lemon! There’s usually a wait in Dallas on Friday or Saturday but it’s well worth it. I recommend a specialty martini or walnut old fashioned while you wait!

I can rarely give all 5 stars to anyone, but Roman Cucina deserved it and is my new favorite Italian restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant decor was so wonderfully overdone old school that the 80s music didn’t even take away from it. The service was the best I’ve had in several months and the price was not too high to be prohibitive.

The Italian sausage was authentic and not greasy (not sure how they did that), and the bruschetta appetizer had cooked tomatoes that weren’t mushy. We were so full that we didn’t have room for desert, but I will look forward to trying that next time.

This must be the real neighborhood Italian restaurant that Maggiano’s Little Italy modeled their restaurant after. Talk about authentic Italian! We’d have to say that the best part of Roman Cucina was how comfortable we felt there. The service was friendly and we felt like we were at a big family dinner. Try it and you’ll become a regular.

Great chicken parm! This place has unique décor with a hole in the wall feel. You can only get on the waitlist for a table in person so keep that in mind. It was worth the wait, and we had great bread, meatballs, chicken parm, and pasta. This is an awesome Italian spot!

First visit with my cousins and we felt like family. From the service to the taste of the food. Natalie was a fantastic server. If 10 starts were possible, that would be my rating. Definitely will visit again!

One of my rare 5 star reviews. Every dish I have had is crammed full of flavor. Fresh pasta and rich sauce. Prices are fair and you will not leave hungry. If you are looking for the best Italian restaurant in DFW you have found it.
