Salad was super fresh, and zesty.
Pasta was balanced, not too much drenched in sauce. Portion was perfect. You have the choice to order full or half.
Atmosphere: cool place to take a date, celebrate an occasion or even have a friends gathering for happy hr.
Ambience was good but could be better if they dimmed the light, place was bright.
Restrooms were clean.
Plenty of parking.
I recommend this place
I even called the restaurant, made them aware of the past bad experience and requested that this time they just make sure everything was okay! Well didn’t happen !
I’m not saying it wasn’t edible. I had two slices of their pizza because I was famished—but good lord, what insult to injury. What I got was a piece of bread with some cheese and tomato paste stacked on top. I could barely find the basil. Or the sauce for that matter. This was a real-life cartoon drawing of a pizza.
I have tried Romacelli’s main dishes twice before and the food was pleasant… but this time I am so far from impressed that I can only wonder just how I got tricked into paying $18 for what looks like a depression meal.
How does a Margherita pizza on cauliflower crust with 3 ingredients come out looking and tasting like a Lunchable, y’all? Is this restaurant a front? Not every dish on the menu has to be a Michelin hit, but gaddamn! This was nearly theft.
TLDR: Your mileage may vary. Not falling for it next time.
My family and I are of Hispanic and Italian descent. We immediately felt unwelcome by other guest looking at us. At first I thought it was maybe because we had a 2 year old in a primarily adult atmosphere restaurant on a Friday night. But our son was an angel that night, and didn’t scream or act out. At one point, I made a goofy looking face at a lady who would not stop staring at us that was sitting at the bar. Goofy enough for her to never look back over us.
Honestly, the food was probably the best part of the night. My husband had a phenomenal pasta. My son and I split a pizza.
