Great freakin’ pizza. My family doesn’t go out for pizza much, but I’m visiting and wanted a hassle free dinner. Picked up take- out tonight. Called in the order in advance to cut down on wait time.
Crust was crisp and thin. Great flavor. Everyone kept saying how airy the crust was. Perfect ratio of rich tomato sauce and cheese. Reminded me of NYC slices.
Ordered the 2 Large Pizza special and added toppings, and 1 Large 3 item pizza.
My favorite was meatballs and caramelized onions. So good! Told my family I’d go back for meatball sub. 4 adults and 2 teenagers nearly crushed 3 large pies.
Would definitely recommend.
Staff was friendly too. Friendly cashier, guy in the back stretching dough thanked us. Several people coming through while we waited for our order. It’s a great sign the people enjoy it.

If you are in the neighborhood I definitely recommend this place. The pizza is delicious with a crispy Italian style crust. The herbs they use a fresh and flavorful. Very customizable for people who are vegan or plant based. I ordered a veggie pizza with no cheese, added some tomatoes, fresh basil, and olive oil. It was delicious! The chef made a huge effort to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed for our two little kids. Everyone who came in, they were greeted by name. You can tell it’s a great community small business. Unfortunately no public bathroom.

Great little place in a strip mall. Basically set up for takeout but has a couple tables. We ate in and the food was great. Freshest salad we’ve had in a restaurant in a while. Great portions. Fried ravioli were yummy. The pizza was GREAT!! The crust was crispy and plenty of toppings.

Today was my wife’s and my first visit to Roma Pizza at 2699 Beaver Run in Surfside, in the Walmart shopping center, and it definitely won’t be our last. We ordered a Stromboli to share, but I wanted ham, while my wife wanted sausage. We asked if they could split it, ham on one side, sausage on the other. They told us they’d never done that before, but they were happy to give it a try.
About 10 minutes later, they brought out an absolutely perfect Stromboli. Cooked beautifully, huge in size, just like the one on display, and more than enough for both of us. The flavor and quality were outstanding!
Both gentlemen working were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely wanted to help, something that’s getting harder to find these days. The store was also very clean, which we appreciated.
Roma Pizza has officially become our go‑to spot for pizza and Stromboli. Highly recommended.

I used the Online App to order and was happy to see that you could order 1/2 one kind and 1/2 another kind. The order was ready when promised. I would have liked it cooked about 5 minutes longer, I like my pizza crispy on the bottom. The flavor was very good.

Absolutely delicious hidden gem in Surfside SC. So good, we went back twice! Like NY thin fold and eat slice pizza. Sauce is tasty. Dining in is limited to 3 mini tables. Carry out, and delivery is most of their business. Go try!

Two stars because I know they can do much better than this. Not sure if it was an off day, but we purchased from here yesterday (we purchase pretty regularly). We ordered a whole pie and it was awful. The crust was way too thin, there was next to no sauce and the cheese tasted cheap and processed. Good cheese creates good oil. The oil buds were nowhere in sight. Why the outrage and low rating? Because we’ve eaten here plenty of times before and the pizza never tasted like this. In fact, I had rated it pretty highly in being one of the closest places you’d find to being true NY pizza since they changed owners (from Aromas). We’ll take that back because consistency is a large part of what we do back home. You can’t be inconsistent; you won’t survive. I know all restaurants are struggling in the wake of ridiculous food prices while trying to manage customers’ expectations on price and value. But completely sacrificing quality will never bode well and may cost you more than just raising prices a bit. It will be a while before I try this again because this was the absolute worst pizza I’ve ever tasted and I need a while to recover. It may have well been a French bread pizza, but who knows, that may even be an insult to the French bread. Not sure what changed, but I hope you guys get back to where you started.

This restaurant offers an outstanding experience if you are seeking New York style pizza in the heart of Surfside Beach. After living and dining in New York for the past 50 yrs my standards are high when it comes to pizza and Italian food. Roma did not disappoint, I placed my order online and my food was at the door in less than 30 min! Everything was hot and 100% correct. Great job to the owners and staff at Roma, you earned a loyal long term customer….keep up the good work!

Really great place. We’ve driven by plenty of times and never thought to stop in until today. So glad we did. The place is really clean and the guy behind the counter really nice and welcoming. The part that counts the most though is the food which was awesome. Pizza was delicious and they have a bunch of super reasonably priced specials. Will absolutely be back.
