It’s definitely a hidden gem, I made reservations for 1, just because and I’m so glad I did when I got there it was full. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming. I ordered a lemoncello spritz which is not on the menu and he so kindly made me one.
I had seen photos of the octopus and just knew what I was getting. Since I was alone and couldn’t share I got the grilled octopus, absolutely fantastic. It’s hard to find octopus in the US especially so well done where it’s not rubbery, it was perfectly crisp and deliciously tasty. I had a salad and side of asparagus as well all which were great!
The women next to me when the waiter asked if they were ok simply answered “it was fabulous” I didn’t hear one bad comment from any of the tables. I do not live in San Diego but will be back when I’m around here again for sure!

Absolutely the best Italian food in San Diego! The staff was truly top notch being so attentive, kind, and professional. I never had an empty glass, and every detail of the service was perfect. The food was amazing and came out so quickly. The octopus appetizer instantly reminded me of Amalfi, the fungi pasta was rich and flavorful, and the lobster ravioli was unforgettable. The restaurant itself was spotless, classy, and welcoming. An outstanding experience from start to finish! I ordered my two kids food when we sat and it was out in moments! I have never had that happen so quick in my life. THEY ATE IT ALL! We all loved this Italian place! You need to go!

One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. The owner, Sergio, was fantastic and super down to earth. The prices were great and the food was AMAZING. The Penne al Polpo was DELICIOUS and had a ton of octopus in it. The Tiramisu was INCREDIBLE and the best I ever had. Definitely will be making a stop here any time I am in San Diego. ❤️

The staff here really treat you like family. We were immediately served with warm bread and drinks were flowing. The ambience is nice and cozy. This is the perfect place to host an office dinner or enjoy a celebration with friends and family. They offer a nice variety of pasta. The calamari appetizer was fresh and tasty. San Diego’s own little piece of Italy. Coming from a couple that previously lived in Italy, this place did not disappoint! Pasta was perfectly al dente. The bolognese and Alfredo (I know Alfredo isn’t a traditional Italian dish) were 10/10! Perfect place to go for dinner before the show as it is located right across from Balboa theater. We’ve already been here twice and we will keep coming back.. Grazie mille!!!
