Today 11/9/2025 me and my husband came to this establishment for a small little date before I go into work today / spending time before he have to leave out of town again for work and we both left out of the restaurant severely disappointed ..
Our Server (according to the receipt ) was named Madilyn. This post is mainly for her. She was inattentive , rude, and dismissive . Being a former server, I can automatically assume she was disappointed serving two black people with baggy clothing / not ‘fancy’ dressing .. it felt like her eyes were saying that we didn’t have enough money for us to even be served under her “graces”.. she was ready for us to leave once we even sat down . She only asked my husband for a refill when mines was lower than his, only offered him a salad , never got our appetizers (she blamed the kitchen even though I could tell she never put it in the system ) , and just lack of communication. All the other servers seemed to be attentive to their tables. People smiling , having conversations , and enjoying their meals .. while me and my husband sat there feeling like we made a mistake in coming .. that we did not belong at all. We still had a bit of food on our plate (we’re slow eaters) , and once she seen us just sitting there talking , she grabbed the plates without asking us and walked away fast .. that’s how I knew we needed to leave asap .
(She even got upset after I asked her could she go to the kitchen and make sure no shellfish touches my husband plate (he has a severe shellfish allergy) .. so instead of being like “of course” she made a face of annoyance and stated “um he had chicken?” Ma’am .. I do not know what goes on in the kitchen . I’m not stating they cross contaminate , but I rather be safe than have my husband on the verge of death RIGHT??.. I feel like i don’t have to explain why that’s a concerning matter to tell your kitchen?)
I ended up talking to the manger .. a really nice young man. He took care of the ticket and apologized on behalf of the restaurant and her. I was willing to pay .. but he wasn’t having it. I appreciate your kindness and thank you for hearing me out.
I don’t usually get out my comfort zone and try new places .. but this is a first and last chance for this establishment . I wouldn’t wish the anxiety or experience I had to unfortunately face today on my worst enemy.
I can tell the food is cooked with love and effort . I hope nothing but good things for the establishment .. but hiring people like Madilyn who’s only seeking money is gonna end terribly .
I hope everyone who does eat there have a better time than I did . Just try not to be Madilyn’s new victim.
My son loved his spaghetti and meatballs! I tried his meatballs and they were absolutely delicious!
All the sauces are really authentic!!
The rolls are really good.
The salad was good too and the Caesar dressing was good!
