We stopped by Rolling Stone in St. Croix for a quick bite and ended up getting the hot dogs and mac and cheese. The food was actually pretty tasty, simple comfort food done right. The hot dogs were solid and the mac and cheese had a nice creamy texture.
However, one downside that stood out was the lack of drinks. They didn’t have anything available to buy, which was a bit of a letdown, especially in the Caribbean heat. We had to go next door to the bar to grab something to drink, which wasn’t a huge deal, but definitely took away from the overall experience.
If you’re in the area and craving something casual and quick, it’s worth a stop, just make sure you plan ahead for drinks!

The food & service at this walk-up window restaurant were both top notch!! I had the fish sandwich, minus the jalapeños, & the Mahi mahi was smoked to perfection. The Mac & cheese was delicious & loaded with flavor. My daughter & sil had the brisket sandwich & it was delicious as well.
The Piña colada from the beach bar made this the best meal we have had so far on St Croix.

Holy smokes! This joint is amazing. We had brisket and pulled pork. Both were as good as BBQ gets. Another reviewer mentioned they were disappointed about no drinks. Not sure why. There is a full-service bar about 20 feet away. I have no idea why that would be a problem. If you are in Christiansted, pay the five bucks and enjoy. Seriously, it’s great!!

Dan the Meat Man and Maggie of Rolling Smoke BBQ at Hotel on the Cay in Christiansted will delight you with their friendly, prompt service and amazingly delicious BBQ and other treats from their open beachside kitchen! (The most perfect jobs in the world?) We loved the Pulled Pork Sandwich with Pulled Pork Baked Beans on the side, as well as the Beanie Weenie Burger with the Pulled Pork Baked Beans as a topping! The side of Mac and Cheese was a perfect accompaniment. Don’t miss the BBQ Rib Tips, they’re perfectly prepared and really blew us away with their sweet savory BBQ sauce! Real bbq, best on the island. I had the brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese. So good. No beer on tap on this little island but brought a cooler full and handed out drinks to our table. $5 a person for the ferry ride here. Worth every penny. All good. Thank you
