Son birthday dinner and asked for the best steak dinner around the area. This is the place. Great service, friendly staff and the food is amazingly seasoned. Banana pudding (get the pint) the small will make ya mad. The steak is so good you eat and half immediately think I should have this with eggs in the morning (you’re welcome)

We ordered ribs and brisket plates. We had green beans, potato salad and macaroni & cheese. The sides were ok but the green beans were so salty I couldn’t finish. One of the other customers we sat by said they agreed and had been in a few days before and the green beans were too peppery then. I guess the cook isn’t using the tasting spoons lol. We came right at about 5 so nothing had been sitting around for long. The ribs were a bit dry. The brisket was the better of the two but not by much.

When we entered the establishment, there were three or four employees seated at one of the tables eating, but no one greated us. I’m really hoping that one of them was not one of the owners, but I think he might have been. The young lady that took our order on the line was absolutely awesome, we really enjoyed her.
As for the food, we ordered a catfish plate, which turned out to be a swai plate, but most restaurants have been pulling that switch for years. We are used to that. The fish was really nicely done. We also ordered potato salad. It was interesting. We have never experienced potato salad like it before and did not like it.
We also had baked beans, I didn’t taste them, but they must have been ok because my husband brought them home.
The place was really clean and the atmosphere was pleasant, But judging by the warm welcome we didn’t receive on this, our second visit along with the uncomfortable vibe we felt on our first visit, I seriously doubt that we will be returning.
This is unfortunate because I was really hoping that we would be able to love Rolling Smoak just as much as we enjoyed the former Country Boys.

This is true southern bbq at its finest! I’ve eaten here every weekend since they opened. Every piece of meat is smoked to perfection and the ribeye steak is the best in the Augusta area! True Texas style brisket! And the best banana pudding on both sides of the Mississippi! Well worth the short drive outside of town!

This place did amazing. We brought a whole football team here late night and the accommodated all of us. Seating was a bit tough but we made it work. Some item options that night include: pulled pork, brisket, BBQ chicken, green beans, rice, macaroni salad and cheese, banana pudding and cakes. Prices are on the higher end but the portions are good. Dessert is sold per item and not included in meal. Give them your business if you’re out in the area, you won’t regret it. Plenty of parking.

The food was okay. I had a brisket plate with greenbeans and potato salad. The other was baby back ribs with green beans, Mac and cheese with a slice of white bread. With drinks it was $45.72.
The brisket plate had three thick slices of brisket. The green beans were plentiful as well as the potato salad. The rib plate came with 4 ribs and plenty of green beans and Mac and cheese.
The ribs were heavy on the vinegar basting with a slight smoke flavor. The brisket was juicy and had light smoke flavor as well. The green beans were very salty. My wife gives the Mac and cheese a thumbs up.
We’ll try other items next time.

Hidden gem here. Never been to this area but this place was recommended by a local when I asked for a good steak, and a great steak it was. Cooked perfect. Will go back here if I ever come through here again.

Food was very good. Barbecue was great. Brisket is unbelievable. Many sides to choose from. Hash is great and I am not a hash fan. Barbecue sauce is perfect.
