We stopped for breakfast and had a lovely experience. We enjoyed our meals and felt the food was well prepared. We loved the booth seating – reminds me of toast 🙂 – and the overall aesthetic of the restaurant is wonderfully vintage. I hope they never remodel. Our service was friendly and prompt. If you looking for a local diner experience and have some time to sit and talk, I highly recommend. If you looking for fast, cheap food, with a get in and get out attitude, I don’t recommend.

Great little restaurant with wonderful decor. The food was exactly what you would hope for from a Wisconsin diner. The hash browns were crispy, the corn beef hash was delicious, the raspberry crepes were tart and sweet, and the coffee was hot and fresh. The portions were also generous.

Stopped in while vehicle shopping, never been here before. I took the waitresses recommendation and went with the fried chicken biscuit and gravy. I couldn’t have been happier. The gravy stole the spotlight and went well with everything on the plate.

Food is always good here. I had the Southern Fried Chicken Biscuit, my wife had the Southern Benedict. No complaints, probably a bit heavy on the gravy but thats not a real issue 😉 friendly faces, large portions, for sure worth a stop

Absolutely stellar! The biscuits and gravy at Rolling Meadows Restaurant transported me straight to a Southern grandma’s kitchen, complete with a bear hug and a secret recipe. Each bite was like a fluffy cloud drenched in savory heaven, convincing me that biscuits and gravy should have their own food group.
And let’s talk about the liver and onions. I normally run from liver faster than a cat avoiding a bath, but here? A whole new level! It gets a big thumbs up from me. The liver was tender, the onions were caramelized to perfection, and together they did a little jig on my taste buds.
The country fried steak was good too, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It’s like the culinary equivalent of a high-five from an old friend.
Speaking of friends, the company was out of this world. Dining with Marshae and Mary made the whole experience feel like a family reunion (minus the awkward uncle stories). Their laughter and stories were the perfect side dish to an already delightful meal.
Rolling Meadows, you’ve set the bar high! Can’t wait to come back and eat my weight in biscuits and gravy again.

Really enjoyed the creamy chicken wild rice soup! I had a gyro sandwich that was also delicious. Personally wasn’t a huge fan of the French fries, but the breaded mushrooms we got made up for it! Our server was friendly and attentive. Definitely would come back.

Well…been there. Done that. Nice people. Food was distinctly average. My omelet was overcooked. The hash browns tasted like old grease. The prices were higher than other FDL restaurants with the iced tea at around $3.80 and the addition of cheddar cheese $1.80. Oh well. Next!
