Roland’s Seafood Grill absolutely blew me away. The lobster roll on that warm, ridiculously good Mancini’s bread was on a whole different level — buttery, overflowing, and genuinely unforgettable. The portobello appetizer was just as incredible, bursting with rich, savory flavor like it was auditioning to be the star of the menu. And the service tied everything together perfectly — attentive, friendly, and on point the entire time. I’m already planning my next visit!

Another great stop in the strip district!
Came in for lunch on a Sunday. Seated right away for a table of 7 and service was prompt. Primarily seafood on the menu, but there are other options as well. Highly recommend the Lobster roll. Had the Lobster roll sliders, which is more than enough to fill you up. Of course, the local Mancini bread topped it off as a meal highlight. The shrimp Po-boy , also on Mancini bread was amazing. The fish sandwich as well could have fed three people.
Parking can be a challenge, however would argue there are many free options within short walk. Would recommend to plan time to walk around the many shops in the district and make it an adventure.

The best lobster dishes we had during our three-week trip across the U.S. Portions are generous – they don’t skimp on lobster!
The signature lobster salad and lobster roll were masterpieces. The salad had seven claws, and the roll had more lobster than bread – something we didn’t find anywhere else.
Their signature Bloody Mary is a must-try, with a perfect secret spice mix.
Service was a bit slow, but the food was so outstanding it didn’t affect the rating.
Don’t miss this place in Pittsburgh! 100% recommended by an experienced traveler.

We stopped at Roland’s before a show it was happy hour 1.00 Shrimp and Oysters. The Old Overholt Whiskey was tasty. For dinner We had The Mussel Pot kind of tasteless used to be better. The Chilled Shrimp were large and crunchy and lots of Horseradish in the cocktail sauce simply delicious and the Oysters were spot on. The Filet tip sandwich was just ok. Had to wait for drinks to arrive service was just ok.

I must say if you are a seafood lover, Roland’s will definitely accommodate. I’m pretty much 90% plant based but if I do eat anything that lives and breathes it’s more than likely seafood and man they give pretty big portions of food. Not sure if she spells her name Hanna or Hannah, but that young lady was an excellent waitress. Very attentive, very professional and knowledgeable about the menu. I could tell her responses were genuine when we asked her opinions.

So let’s get into the meal: Our appetizers set the tone. I’ve never had the crab claw meat in the Mac and Cheese just usually small bits folded within it. They surprised me when I seen 2 claws in the Mac and Cheese. It’s not a baked Mac it’s roux based but still very tasty. The Lobster Nachos aroused the same reaction. Massive portion. If you love nachos and lobster meat this is a treat for you. We also had calamari fritti (fried calamari) which was very delicious. They were fried hard which is preferable.

My son had the penne pasta with marinara and it was solid. My French Onion Soup was superb and the Caesar salad was standard. My husbands jumbo shrimp platter was just that JUMBO. He could not finish his plate lol.

Had a great time and definitely recommending this place to anyone who’s a lover of seafood it’ll be worth it. The prices are worth what you are getting.

Hands down the most disappointing Lobster roll I’ve had. The lobster meat was overcooked and tough, and it felt like nothing more than plain meat in a bun, no sauce, no seasoning, no LOVE for flavor. And for $30, I expected much better.

The lady at the hotel said this was her favorite on the hotels restaurant list sheet. We came here because we had a pooch and they had a dog friendly patio. Oh my gosh. This place is AMAZING. Our server was fantastic. The food was fantastic. The place has been around for 80 years!!! We got the lobster nachos on her suggestion. She was right! They were AMAZING and amazinglly huge and piled high with lobster. The chips were thick and maybe homemade. If I lived close to this place I would go there every week.

Diana might be the most awesome ambassador for everything Pittsburgh and Roland’s. She had the best recommendations for food and alcohol, as well as, epic local color.
Then the food and drink! Can’t say enough about their Bloody Marys, chicken club and the lobster sliders! Bonanza of delicious food!
Seriously, if you’re in the Burgh, the Strip is a must and at least grab a drink here.

Stopped in for a quick lunch at the bar. Bartender was super friendly and attentive. Food came out fast. Clam chowder was very good and hit the spot on a chilly day. Oysters were ok, definitely fresh. Heard they had great bloody mays so gave it a shot. Had a second!

We stopped on a busy Saturday and had an undesirable experience. Our drinks took over 60 minutes, the food for our party of 5 arrived at 3 different times. The kitchen help brought a bowl of bisque, and when the spoon fell into the bowl, he replied, “that’s annoying- grab a napkin” and walked away. We didn’t have utensils or napkins for the first round of food, then our split chicken sandwich was served raw. After 90 minutes and raw chicken, we asked for the check. The manager did comp us for some of our order. With all the places to eat in the Strip district, I was disappointed we chose this one and likely won’t pick it again.
