After being away for a few years because of military life, I recently came home for a visit. When asked where I wanted to go for lunch, Rokko’s was immediately at the top of my list. I went to Eastern Washington University for college, (many moon ago) and Rokko’s was always one of my favorite spots. I’m happy to say the food is just as amazing as I remember.
What really made this visit special, though, went beyond the food. Rokko’s has such a positive and welcoming atmosphere. I had my two-year-old with me, and like many parents—especially those with a rambunctious toddler—going out to eat can sometimes feel stressful. You worry about disrupting other diners or not being able to fully enjoy the meal.
That wasn’t the case here at all. The staff welcomed us with open arms, genuine kindness, and even took the time to appreciate our little one’s enthusiasm for Hot Wheels cars. A two year old may appreciate it in the now but I will remember the experience for a lifetime.
Rokko’s was a great food space for me as a college student who needed a welcoming environment to connect with friends, and it still feels that way today—even all the way in Coeur d’Alene. Thank you for making our lunch experience something so memorable. We’ll definitely be back!

Our first visit here and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed spam fried rice, which was DEVINE, and a peach Italian soda. So delicious! Seating outside in front and seating inside in the back. Can’t wait to explore the menu more!

If you’re looking for authentic Japanese food that feels homemade and full of love, you have to check this place out! Dave and Ines are the sweetest owners — they make you feel so welcome the second you walk in. It honestly feels like eating at a friend’s house, but with restaurant-quality food (and then some!).

Everything we ordered was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can taste the quality in every bite. The place is also super clean and cozy, which just adds to the whole “feel at home” vibe.

Huge shoutout to Dave and Ines for creating such a special spot. Can’t wait to go back! ❤️

This place is amazing, the food is very awesome, I had teriyaki chicken bowl, 5 spice, it was pretty spicy, and wasabi pasta salad. The staff is very nice and helpful. Definitely worth checking out, lots of food for an inexpensive cost.

Love this place.

The food is phenomenal. I got the teriyaki beef with fried rice and it was great. The flavors are balanced nice and the sides fit very well. My girlfriend got the shrimp yakisoba and it tastes like good traditional yakisoba that seems simple but has a lot of flavor. The presentation of both was very nice.

The food was a little high in price (around 50$) for the 2 dishes, 2 iced teas and 2 miso soup sides. But I felt for the most part it was worth the money. You do get a good amount of food for your money as well.

Service is great and they are very friendly, the employees are working hard and willing to modify your order for most needs. The employees seem happy to be here and serve with a smile on their face. The restaurant was also very clean and tidy

Overall 9.5/10

When I was a college student in Cheney, Rokkos was one of my favorite restaurants. Now that Rokkos has moved to CDA, after I hadn’t been in years, I finally had their famous Chicken Yakisoba Noodle Bowl again!

Service was fast and friendly! My friend was avoiding gluten and the staff had great suggestions to accommodate her needs. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice, with plenty of seating outside or inside.

My yakisoba was incredible, just like it was years ago when I last had it! Packed with flavor, tender chicken, and satisfying.

You must visit!

Love Rokkos so much. Tuesday Asian beef tacos are TOP NOTCH, when I worked in downtown I would walk 10 blocks each week to get them. Service is always fabulous, small business knows how to treat new people and locals alike!

Super casual but delicious Teriyaki. I had the shrimp teriyaki with Wasabi Mac and cheese and a side salad. The owner took my order and was very friendly. You order at the bar and pay at the bar, then they bring your food in a styrofoam container. Super easy!!

Banger! I’m from Western Washington (the birth place of teriyaki chicken) and this was amazing. Plus it is cheaper than the run of the mill teriyaki shop back home. It’s crafty and delicious! Like the atmosphere too! All around great experience! Next time your at Chef’store say high to Richard for me. 😉
One year later edit: we are back, still BOMB!
