Such a wonderful meal! We enjoyed the pretzel and cheese – how good could it really be? It was superb- perfectly crispy bits on the edges, brushed with garlic butter and delicious cheese sauce to dip it in. I had the grilled fish which was halibut- very simply prepared so the quality of the fish shines through- complimented by heirloom carrots that were roasted and seasoned just right. Hubs had the R burger which he loved- I had too much food to try his- we shared a side of the mashed potatoes- creamy texture and delicious! Earlier in the day we enjoyed drinks at the bar- the only thing that could have been better is to let the Guinness settle before serving. Overall just a lovely meal!

Ate here for brunch, lunch and dinner two different days. Every meal was delicious and everyone loved what they choose. We had the burger, biscuits and gravy, breakfast sandwich, Belgian waffle, Caesar salad, Sweet potato fries, Salmon dish, French toast, Reuben, corn hash and more. The only thing we didn’t think was worth it was the shrimp cocktail (only five shrimp and seemed small for $22). Obviously we came back many times and people say this is the best restaurant on campus! We also got an Irish coffee and an espresso martini and both were delicious. If we are back in the area we will certainly frequent again.

Another reviewer said this place is a hidden gem but I think it’s a perfectly visible gem, since it’s in the nicest hotel right on Notre Dame’s campus. Genuinely nice atmosphere – very comfy chairs, and prompt service round out a very pleasant dining experience.

When it comes to food: The portions are ridiculously large I would say, perhaps not relative to every restaurant ever, but relative to the quality – I think that’s an unexpected surprise and it could easily leave you with leftovers if you over-order.

Worth a stop-by if you’re in the area!

Amazing as always, we had the Nashville hot chicken, potato leek soup and salmon salad. All very tasty and super enjoyable in the classic design of the space.

My wife & I arrived 20 mins early per our OpenTable reservation for our Sunday evening dinner (wedding anniversary treat), but the front desk staff seated us immediately. Our waitress Kristin was very friendly, and provided good service throughout our visit. Our dinners were excellent: Pan-Seared Salmon with Creamy Polenta & Corn Relish; Duck Leg Confit with Farro Salad; and we shared a very generous side dish of Bravas Potatoes (more than 2 servings). All served fresh & hot with good flavors & presentation. We would recommend Rohr’s for special occasions or for parents visiting UND students.

Food amazing, service great! Atmosphere perfect! There was a larger party which delayed my service. However, my server apologized and delivered exceptional service til the end.

Great experience from beginning to end. The restaurant is located inside the Morris Inn. I drove around twice trying to figure it out. You simply let the valet person know and they will open the gate for you to park.

My food was sooo delicious! I missed breakfast today! I definitely will revisit.

Wonderful experience, right in Morris Inn Hotel. Food is great. Highly recommend Fondue (if you think you’ve tried it all – try theirs), Beef Tartare, Pork and their desserts (by award-winning pastry chef). The table next to the fireplace is great.

My father, class of 1965 got the waffle, my wife got the yogurt and I got the breakfast sandwich. Everything was AMAZING. Our waitress, Makeanna was was super nice. Michael Miller, the Director of food and beverage came over and was just so polite. We actually saw him going around to every table and helping out the staff where needed, thanking the patrons for coming in. Just a class act. We will be back!

I agree with previous reviews that this place is a hidden gem. It’s located inside a hotel on campus close to the bookstore and visitor center, so it’s not exactly hidden, per se – but there’s not really any signage that makes the presence of the restaurant immediately apparent. The only way we happened to discover it was via google map search, trying to find a place to eat after we had already left the campus. Very glad we decided to circle back because everything about this restaurant was outstanding. Our server Toby was very friendly and attentive, the menu had a diverse selection of items from which to choose, and the outdoor patio was lovely and peaceful. We ordered the burrata appetizer and reuben sandwiches – everything was absolutely delicious and thoughtfully plated. The grilled sandwiches were served vertically with the cut side on the plate which allowed the top and bottom of the sandwich to remain perfectly crispy, and the sliced sourdough bread that came with the burrata was the perfect thickness and crispness to complement the creaminess of the cheese without being too tough, too chewy, or too brittle – not enough restaurants pay attention to minor details such as these when preparing their dishes, so I have to celebrate those that do! Excellent job!
