Rogue BBQ Pittsburgh delivers one of the best all-around dining experiences in the city. From the moment you walk in, the hospitality stands out—warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind staff who make you feel right at home. It’s a family-owned establishment located on Amity Street in Homestead, and you can feel the care they put into every detail.
Rogue BBQ offers dine-in and takeout options, a full bar, off-site catering, and even a food truck you can catch around the Burgh. They also have a stand at Kennywood, which feels very on-brand and very Pittsburgh.
They recently revamped their menu, striking the perfect balance between keeping longtime fan favorites and introducing new, exciting options. The wing board completely exceeded expectations. The presentation was impressive, and the wings themselves were outstanding.
Guests can choose between fried wings or smoked whole wings, and all sauces are made in-house. The flavors are innovative yet familiar—classic BBQ profiles with thoughtful twists. The dry rub smoked wings paired with the horseradish lemon Alabama white sauce were especially memorable, bold, and incredibly well-balanced.
One standout that deserves special mention is the PB&J-flavored wings. While unexpected, the flavor combination works surprisingly well and ends up being one of the most satisfying bites on the table.
Their homemade corn bread is flakey and flavorful. Plus we snagged some Brisket Rolls to go (because had to try but so full!). They make all their pizza dough in house so imagine fresh dough, smoked brisket, a cheese blend and tangy BBQ sauce all rolled up!!!
Overall, the food is bold and exciting, the space feels wholesome and inviting, and the experience is one you’ll want to repeat. Rogue BBQ isn’t just a place to eat—it’s somewhere you genuinely want to be.

We were really excited to try Rogue BBQ after a recent review online. We walked in with 2 parties in front of us and were quoted an hour wait. Stupid, but we waited. (Spoiler….we should have left) We were seated in 30 minutes. The “hostess” was also a bartender or a server or something. No “wait to be seated” signs. People walking in and taking tables. So disorganized. We get to the table order apps and drinks. Takes a half hour to get soup and oysters. Another 45 to get food. Food was wrong. We ordered fries…. got haluski….table across from us got fries and ordered haluski. No silverware. Food was mediocre at best. No beer list at the table. Couldn’t see the chalkboard. Server bridget??? Had no clue what beers were on tap. What a joke! Child drink $3….never offered one refill in 2.5 hours. She was kind to our child, but wasn’t enough for us to ever go back. I worked in the service industry for years. I start my tip at 30% and this was the absolute worst service of my life. Worst experience. Came in at 4:45….nearly 7:30 when we left. Oysters were good, but never again.
Should have went to Dukes.

The cocktails were creative and perfectly made. The food was outstanding. Husband had 1/2 rack of ribs with the bourbon sauce. He enjoyed every bite but the order was large so he had leftovers. I had thr brisket sandwich with the brisket baked beans..so tender and they are not shy on the meat. Great wait staff and atmosphere! We will definitely return!

I got take out. Only thing that was good was the pulled pork. I also got no sauces and they usually provide some. The chicken was dry, the brisket was the worse I ever had in my life. It was straight fat, not lean whatsoever. I couldn’t even eat it. Creamy corn and baked beans were just okay. I won’t be back.

We tried Rogue BBQ when their food truck was at the Baconburgh festival at South Side Works.
We had the Bacon on a Stick. It was delicious and it was a foodie lovers epic eat. Perfect street food. It was a great menu item for this type of event and of course a must try for bacon lovers !
Their food truck had long lines all day and they completely sold out of Bacon on a Stick only half way through the event. The other menu items I saw patrons enjoying looked very good. After this positive food truck experience I would definitely like to visit their restaurant and I’ll certainly keep an eye out for their truck around town.

The rib sampler flavor was amazing even though it was cold.. the pork belly burnt ends were really good but the bottoms were tough.. best tasting barbecue we ever had. 9.2 out of 10.. we will be back when it’s less busy!

Even though I did take out, the employee that waited on me was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was quirky and inviting. I ordered Pork Belly Burnt Ends with Fried Mush, a rack of the St. Louis Pork Ribs, and the Smoked Whole Wings. All the food was good, but I’m giving it four stars because some of the burnt ends were a little dry. I will be back.

Food was amazing! The ghost pepper ranch with the fried banana peppers did not disappoint I was even able to customize my salad with no complaints or issues. Their speciality drinks did not disappoint either.

i was so excited to go to rogue barbecue it heard nothing but good things about them. When I got my barbecue home I had ordered two racks of ribs and strip corn the racks of ribs to say the least were the toughest ribs I’ve ever had hardly any sauce on them and really just a huge disappointment. I spent $87 also on the brisket rolls which tasted sour and tasted like it was not very good. The street corn was burnt. I was really really disappointed. I was hoping to have such a great meal and it ended up not being so great

First off, waitress was super nice and made great suggestions. Ordered the sampler and sides to split with another….huge portion. Ribs, fall off the bone, phenomenal! Mac and greens, flavorful! Smoked wings and sausage, perfect! Will definitely return and recommend. Wrote the review before I even left!
