First- wait time for take out is VERY long!!!! 35-40 minutes. Staff is friendly. Prices are good. Food is ok. Hush puppies are terrible no crunch or taste The BBQ is very good. I liked the coleslaw and fries. Everything else was just ok.

Came in from out of town for a family event. Had to find a place that could do a side dish same day. Called and they gave me a good price. Cooked it in two hours while I drove down from NC. Ordered a pan of sweet potato soufflé. It was a big hit, everyone loved it and I did too. Simple and baked well. They got me a serving spoon too for a little extra charge.

Went here this past Sunday and while the food was okay, the service is really what made us stay and enjoy ourselves! Our waitress, Heather and her daughter Haley, made us feel like family and that they had known us for years! Will be coming back simply for the good southern hospitality shown to us in our visit.

Went there during lunch. The buffet was fully stacked and freshly delicious even though it was close to the end of lunch hour. On the way out, I noticed the homemade cheesecakes and wanted to bring a piece to my mom. I explained to the cashier that we were still many hours away from our final destination and she was kind enough to prepare a special travel pack with ice (inside a ziplock) to keep it cool during our long drive. This kind of customer service is hard to find these days and if you’re reading this, sorry i didn’t get your name but wanted to thank you for going above and beyond for me. Glad we stopped there.

All time favorite bbq spot in Florence for home cooked food. Today I sent my boyfriend to pick up a plate and they promptly came to his truck to check in and get his order name and take payment. The gentleman went inside and made the plate immediately even though the order had only been placed over the phone a minute earlier. When he brought the order out my boyfriend asked about a bathroom. This man was so helpful that he even walked him inside to show him exactly where it was. True Southern Hospitality

i’ve been going to roger’s bbq for a couple years now, and when the owner changed to a lady named Dori and a man named Michael (sorry if the names are wrong), the food got better the service was better and the host are better! such a home to come to when i’ve been out of town or just somewhere i want to eat when i need something quick or on the go!! definitely recommend to anyone and everyone!

This place needs to be shut down! It used to be a town staple when Rob owned it. Now since Dori has taken over it has really went downhill. The food is gross not meant for human consumption. The service is lacking at best! The building has so much mold that it is a very unsafe environment. Also there are huge rats in the kitchen eating holes in all of the bags of seafood breader. There was roaches all over the place because of filth. I hope that a better owner takes over and restores the place to the way it should be.

This is the driest BBQ in the south. I tried soaking it in the exta BBQ sauce (glad I asked for that) in am attempt to rehydrate the meat but it didn’t work. The sides were bland. The collards were mushy. The cornbread was wet. The dressing was the consistency of baby food and was under cooked. The veggies tasted like the just opened the can and dropped them on the plate. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I should’ve learned my lesson the last time I almost choked on the meat. Horrible…just horrible

This has always been a favorite of mine and all the family! Came here tonight and ate way too much! Even my toddler ate! But got a surprise and found out they had cheesecake!!! WHAT!?? Amazing!!!! I had raspberry white chocolate but I want to try them all!! The only picture I took it was almost too late! Lol
