My mother and I were looking for “healthier fare” when we saw Roger That! BBQ was open. The restaurant is new and the dining space is small. I like this, because too often, people try to go too big too quickly. This tells me they are focusing on the quality of food, and the food did not disappoint!
You could get brisket, pork, or chicken, and all entrees came with two sides. Let’s start with the green beans-they were delicious. The macaroni and cheese was legit! The macaroni was cooked just right, and it was the baked-style with real cheese. The brisket came on a bun that was perfectly toasted, but the meat stole the show. I prefer to eat with a fork, and the meat just fell apart it was so tender and juicy. When brisket is prepared right, it is amazing, but so many places just cannot seem to pull it off. Roger That! BBQ did a wonderful job. My mom had the pork, and she couldn’t stop raving about it. The meals were appropriately priced and the experience was great.
The gentleman behind the counter had perfect customer service and hospitality. The entire experience was great, and I will most certainly be returning for some more.

Delicious, tender BBQ (tried both the pulled pork and brisket), in very generous portions! My husband and I enjoyed the “meat waterfall” cascading out of the sandwich, and were able to make a second meal of the leftovers. Roger is very pleasant and attentive to his guests. Overall, a great experience!

YUMMY! Great spot to unwind. Cool, casual atmosphere. Very friendly service. I had the pulled pork tacos (today was first day for them!). Yum. Great portion sizes. We had a non BBQ fan in our group and she raved about how delish it was (chicken tacos). The amount of pulled pork on the sandwiches is ridiculously generous.

They also do holiday catering. I’ve ordered smoked turkeys the last two years for Thanksgiving and Christmas and my family loves them. Takes all the stress out of having family over for the holidays!

Very large sandwich portions. I got the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans to go. The sandwich was very greasy which was off-putting. I wish they would have topped it with more barbecue sauce (I like my sandwich sauced). Baked bean side portions were too small for my liking. I’m willing to try them again.

I had there pulled pork sandwich and it was one of the best I have ever had. The serving size is the largest I have ever had. There was enough for 3 sandwiches. The quality of the food was great too. The Mac and cheese was great as well. If you are in the area and hungry, try this place out!

Owner is working every day, basically a one man show. Exactly how some of the best places get started. I will be back.

When I arrived, the proprietor of the shop was quite welcoming and friendly. The overall atmosphere of the small dining room was comfortable. However when it came down to the reason for visiting this establishment ie. The food, I was quite disappointed. I got the pulled pork sandwich which was a good portion along with 2 sides. The sides are where the biggest problems were found. Not one of them tasted good or quality. I get it if you’re only trying to be good at barbeque then I guess until you can get better sides you may as well offer canned/pre-maid options to complete your meals. However the barbeque itself was rather dry and required copious amounts of BBQ sauce. I was saddened to have such a lacking meal from a restaurant in this nice little area of Bellevue.
