We googled this restaurant as a halfway point location for two groups to meet for dinner. The menu was placed on the wall and differs than the menu on the website. Seating is seat yourself, and ordering is done at the bar. There was only one bartender working initially, but not many people at the tables (ourselves, then later 2 tables), and a handful of people at the bar location itself. Restaurant was clean and had plenty of low top and high top tables to choose from. When we arrived yesterday at 5:50pm we got situated and placed an order at the bar approximately 10 minutes after our arrival. Ordering process is slow as there are not many staff members out front. Despite attempts to grab a second beer from two members of our party, the first bartender was unavailable, the second bartender just got on shift and needed some time, and the bartender who was mixing own drinks and playing games did not respond. Multiple other tables received their food prior to our party, with half of our party receiving their food 45 minutes after ordering. The other half of our party needed to ask multiple times about their order but we’re told there was nothing that bartender could do because they just got here. At 7:18, our whole party left, with the other half taking their food to go.
This was a disappointing experience for everyone in our 7 top party. There were several beers on tap we were hoping to try as the tap list was pretty decent. Unfortunately we were unable to get more beer, unable to express our frustration without being met with apathy, and unable to enjoy our meal. Would not recommend unless there are different staff members available or the place is slow and the staff can provide more service to less patrons.

Ordered a pepperoni and bacon pizza to go. They gave us a cheese and banana pepper pizza instead. I was very nice and allowed them to make the correct pizza. It cost me $9.00 to get a labbats light bottle and a shot of fireball to sit and wait for them to fix their mistake. The new pizza was trash. No bacon. All the pepperoni and cheese slid to 1 side. I expect more for an $18 pizza. Called and spoke to Craig. He said they will make us whole on our next visit. I look forward to giving an update.

The fried pickles I got were to die for! So delicious! However the fish sandwich, was a premade fish patty. I honestly thought I would have gotten a decent fish sandwich, but that was but the case. Service was excellent. I will return, but will be more selective in what I order.

Stopped at Roff School Tavern for a quick dinner on a trip from New England to visit family. The front of house staff were incredibly graceful and polite, despite the establishment not having hard ciders, basic iced teas, or even root beers. The ale selection was good, however.
The food was edible but… unenthusiastic? My table had ordered a burger with a side of fried pickles and the steak tacos. The meat of both dishes was overly well-done and lacking any notable seasoning. The star of my own meal was the fried pickles, which I feel is a statement of itself (they were, however, delicious, and I do recommend them to anyone who stops here).
I would definitely say it has “potential,” but Roff’s isn’t living up to what it could be. There were a few games (like billiards and darts) which earned some points, but some definitely interesting decor choices.
Again, front of house staff is really the saving grace of the restaurant as it is currently, handling difficult situations with poise, but unfortunately, good service is not why patrons attend a restaurant.

Great place. Excellent collection of beer. Thanks for having something besides IPAs they are terrible. You need at least two bartenders when it starts to get busy though. It was fine when it wasn’t packed but bartender who was new was left alone and when it started to fill up it was too much for one person and customers were becoming annoyed. The food looks and smell really good.
