Rodo (ata rodo) is Yoruba for habanero pepper. We love habaneros in our food. For all Nigerians, food doesn’t quite taste the same without pepper & spice.
It’s the essence of our cultures, it’s what gives us that extra pep in our step, that extra spice in our music, that extra twist in our waists, that extra resilience and our extra can-do spirit.
We invite you to come partake in our “extra” and SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!

THE best Egusi and Efo Riro soup i’ve tried. I’ve had many soups from all sorts of restaurants but none compare to Rodo. The meat is so tender and flavorful. The service is great, everyone is so kind and in a positive mood. If this is your first time trying nigerian food, I recommend coming to Rodo because they will inform you on how to eat the soup. The art and decorations are BEAUTIFUL and the music is amazing. The cleanliness is top tier and it always smells clean in the restaurant. I come here at least once a month despite living far from the area.

I ordered the Ofada Stew and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. What I received was essentially meat and oil, with little to no actual stew or sauce. Ofada stew is known for its rich, flavorful sauce, so this felt incomplete and poorly executed.
In my experience, many African restaurants that open here still operate with the mindset of being back home, where customers are expected to accept less. That approach doesn’t work here, especially at this price point. Your food is far too costly not to provide both quality and quantity, along with proper service.
If you are charging premium prices, the portions, preparation, and overall experience should reflect that. I truly wanted to enjoy this meal, but this was not acceptable and did not meet expectations.

The customer service here is extremely disappointing. I’ve been coming to this location since it opened, and while the food is good, there is one employee in particular with facial piercings who consistently has a very poor attitude. It creates an unpleasant experience and reflects badly on the business. If this isn’t addressed, it’s likely to continue driving customers away.

I recently visited this Nigerian restaurant in Houston, and my experience was absolutely delightful. The environment was warm and welcoming, with a clean and cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home.
The food was delicious with authentic Nigerian flavors cooked to perfection. Every dish tasted fresh and well seasoned, truly capturing the essence of traditional Nigerian cuisine.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure customers felt comfortable throughout the meal. Their great customer service added to my overall positive experience.
If you’re looking to enjoy genuine Nigerian food in a pleasant setting with excellent service, I highly recommend Rodo Nigerian Cuisine, Houston Texas.

I have visited a few times, and each time, the food is amazing. I’m very picky about my egusi soup, but theirs didn’t disappoint. It was the right level of spicy, and the meat was tender and succulent. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always pleasant. The food also doesn’t take long to come out whenever I place my order.
I am definitely going to be a repeat customer. Very well done!!

Service was great, the food was exquisite (Jollof rice with Rodo chicken), the flavors were perfectly balanced, the spice level was really nice not too spicy but a great kick that sneaks up on you at the end, and the presentation was top-notch. I under estimated the size of the chicken and truly the food, split between 2 people. Great portion!!

Service was great!!! But the
bitterleaf soup, very watery, no single stock fish or dry fish, we did a long drive for that food. The fried fish we ordered didn’t taste great, to think it was pricey yet food didn’t do justice at all
