I had tried two of Rodeo’s Mexican restaurants one in Dothan and one in Eufaula. I’m unsure if the various locations have the same owner. Today me and my husband went to the Headland location. The restaurant was clean and the food was delicious. My only complaint is there were two flies that would not let us eat in peace. I spent most of my time trying to run them off then one landed on my food that did it for me. I understand flies and other bugs may get in due to the front door being close to the seating area. But to light on my food is a whole, totally different story. I gave him five stars however, they do need to work on fly control.

We are originally from Southern California and are used to getting really good Mexican food without a problem. We have been searching for a while and finally landed on Rodeo. Our server was friendly and very attentive. The margs are a little pricey but good. I wasn’t very hungry so I just ordered a single steak taco. It was packed with sliced steak and very good. My husband ordered a chicken enchilada plate. He was very pleased with everything on his plate. It consisted with 3 chicken enchiladas, rice and refried beans. There was guacamole and pico for garnish on the enchiladas.

The “Mexican Lunch” choice on the lunch menu was very tasty and plated beautifully. Service was prompt and courteous.
Atmosphere was just okay, and the reason for 3 stars. It is because piped in music was too loud, and kind of boring, the same guy singing lamenting songs in Spanish. It’s okay that it was Spanish; that’s expected, however the choice wasn’t great for dining.

Rodeos is a very nice spot. The interior is cozy and the staff are friendly. The salsa was exquisite! So yummy. I tried the Texas Rice, chicken, steak and shrimp with fajita veggies on a bed of rice. The rice was flavorless and overcooked but the meat and veggies!!! The meat and veggies were cooked and seasoned perfectly! The price was incredibly reasonable for the amount of food received. So delicious and definitely recommend. Maybe skip the rice.

We really enjoyed this place on our way to Florida. The people were nice, awesome decor inside with carved wooden booths and all, food and margaritas were both good. A nice little hidden gem if traveling to or from Florida on Hwy 431.
