Amen, this place is absolutely amazing.

Food is Fabulous and the portions are filling without excess.

Very reasonable prices.

Homemade Ice Cream is worth the drive.

Directly across from the courthouse, next to the theater.

If you get a cup of coffee, enjoy how it’s served.

I had the Chili Rellenos, my favorite meal. It’s very tasty here, fresh ingredients and huge portion.

The service was welcoming from walking in the door, to exiting.

A great family owned spot that is well worth a stop off the beaten path in George West Texas.

Great restaurant right off the highway. We had Texas style chicken fried steak and a couple of great Mexican style dishes. Headed back to San Antonio from the coast it’s right on your way. Be sure to check out the memorial for Geronimo the longhorn just across the street.

Bisteak Green Sauce. Great taste. Served with rice and refried beans and your choice of tortillas. Meat cooked with onion, bell pepper and lime. Once your dish is on its way they bring 3 more sauces to the table. The red has some heat to it. The white is somewhat of a ranch sauce. The green is not as hot as the red but has a better taste. The wait time for the food was quick and the service was great.

Sometimes you can find a really good place to eat off the beaten path. If you get hungry on the way out of the Valley on 281 in Georgewest, turn right on Houston and right in front of the historic courthouse is Rodeo Grill. I had a huge bowl Super tortilla soup that was so delicious! It came with pico de gallo and avocado slices. Yum!
My husband had excellent enchiladas verdes with smokey-flavored refried beans, rice and a bit of salad. Chips and salsa were decent.
Our server was friendly and efficient.
Mexican music set the ambiance. Bathrooms are nice.
Be aware that they charge for boxing up leftovers. The server didn’t tell me that.
Definitely the best place to eat in these parts.

Driving through and stopped. The food was amazing and the price is very reasonable! I had the Vaquero Special and it was alot of food for the price. The restaurant and the restrooms are very clean. I highly recommend this place.

✨ Quick Stop, Great Experience!
Passing through on my way from Houston to Laredo, I stopped at Rodeo Grill—and it was absolutely worth it!

The ambience perfectly captures that rustic, cowboy charm without feeling overdone. The food was fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned—real comfort on the road.

But what stood out most was the staff—friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. They made me feel like more than just a passerby.

Highly recommend for anyone traveling through. A taste of Texas hospitality at its best! ️

The food was good! The service was excellent- it’s a hole in the wall kind of restaurant.

We wanted to stop and get some real food on our trip so picked George West and the Rodeo Grill. Was not expecting it to be primarily Mexican food, but they did have some steak selections which is what we went with. The steak was just so-so. A thin cut and a little tough. Baked potato, salad and tea was excellent though. My wife did not like the French fries. Food=3 stars, service was exceptional = 5 stars! The Mexican food selections looked exceptional but were not what we were wanting. I would go back for that alone!

I was craving a cheeseburger and it looked like it was homemade in pictures on the menu. Gave it a shot and it was ok at best. Margita chips and salsa was very good. Price was decent. Service was great. I will be back but not for a burger it will be for fajitas.

Large variety of menu items. I enjoyed the poblano pepper. My wife had the tortilla soup and commented that it was as good as the last time she had it there. She had the small bowl and it was more than she could finish.
Service was quick and friendly.

Definitely a small town cowboy cafe atmosphere. We live about 30 miles away but will return soon. I want to try the fried chicken..

Restrooms were very clean.
