Came thru for some Peruvian food ad it was pretty good. The vibe here is great if you’re in for some drinks from the bar. The music here makes it a good vibe. The service is friendly. The food is good, great selection. Going come back for sure.

We finally made it to Pesca Bar after many trips to the mothership locations known as El Rocoto in Gardena and Cerritos. I chose this as my birthday dinner destination and went in with high hopes. In short, what I experienced was beyond my already high expectations. The service was exceptional with special thanks to Max for his personality filled approach that made us feel like long time friends from the moment we walked in. It says something about the culture of this family run business when Max went from being a customer at El Rocoto to a team member at the restaurant. That doesn’t happen if things aren’t being done well at every level.

We always rate a restaurant on how serious they take their non alcoholic beverage offerings as we don’t drink alcohol and are often overlooked by fine dining establishments who push the more profitable spirits and wine. The fully stocked bar was busy all night and was open to the dining room to watch preparations. Our mocktails were artfully prepared and perfectly paired with the appetizers and main dishes, balancing the bold flavors of the food with each drink prepared from scratch.

As for our meal, each offering was as exceptional as the service. For perspective, over the past few months I have dined in numerous Michelin rated, Bib Gourmand and one, two and three star restaurants throughout the world, I love Latin American seafood and my recent trips have included Holbox in LA and Damiana in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico. So when I compare Pesca Bar to what I consider good seafood, that is the standard I hold it to.

The offerings were fresh, flavorful and diverse. Although the ingredients are well known and straight forward, the quality and care in preparation take everything to another level. The leche de Tigre was a perfect balance of citrus and spicy. The Hamachi tostada was one of the best bites with the fresh fish and uni balanced on top of tomatoes and a creamy avocado puree. All the food was made with the utmost respect of the fact that it represents Peruvian cuisine at its finest. I agree with Max when he asked, “you know the only difference between our cebiche and what you find in Peru? The only differences is that ours isn’t in Peru.”

If Orange County wants to enjoy top quality dining without driving to LA and paying LA prices, Pesca Bar is a destination that should be full every night. It is a family run business with a passionate owner and chef. They took a chance by opening in Huntington Beach, a city better known for its chain restaurants, taco stands and tourism. All OC locals should make Pesca Bar a part of your dining rotation. Sometimes I avoid giving such a positive review and ruining a good thing, but in this case I believe greater success will only make them better.

We had a great birthday dinner for my husband tonight. Thank you Scott for the great service & recommendations. We very much enjoyed our dinner & the food! I personally liked the fresh entrees more as the cooked beef was not prepared medium rare as requested. Otherwise everything was great. The tostada was my favorite!

I had such a great experience at Rocoto Pesca Bar! The food was beyond amazing. I ordered the Pesto Criollo (Chicken) – breaded chicken served with pesto spaghetti and potato – and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, and the pesto pasta was packed with rich, fresh flavor.

I also tried the Hamachi and Ahi Tuna Tostada, and it completely blew me away – so fresh, light, and bursting with flavor. Honestly one of the best tostadas I’ve had anywhere.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff made the whole dining experience feel special. Whether you’re local or just visiting, this spot is a must-try in Huntington Beach. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu!

Excellent experience overall, one of the best values in town. On the corner of Warner and Goldenwest. We had the ceviche, mixed seafood, grill, and ribeye steak and everything was cooked to perfection, seasoned with Peruvian flair. Spectacularly delicious and very decently priced! Highly recommended!

From welcoming to sitting and food service really good the guys were good, food quality overall good just a couple tips with the better vib and best wishes, el relleno on the croquettes ( papa rellena) and as really cold couple minutes would be perfectly hot inside and the sarza de cebolla needed a mix of herbs the onion cut was the appropriate ( Juliana sería y se vería mejor ) mix of mint, cilantro and parsley with a bit of Limo would of make it perfect. The Pome Sour taste weird didn’t taste the pisco aroma or taste and the crema volteada didn’t taste good the texture was too heavy and the caramel was light and probably would look and sell better if is made in a baking bowl with a hole in the middle. The pesto and huancaina pasta were good the steak also good and the chaufa de mariscos also good. Best wish e and luck

We dined at Rocoto tonight and it delivered the best Peruvian food experience (food and drinks) in California so far. We chose to sit at the bar which was a great decision because the bartender Geab Carlo is from Lima, Peru (like my wife) and was trained at Rafael restaurant. He was incredible both in the description of the modern variations to Peruvian food Rocoto is attempting to deliver and the mixology happening at the bar. We had a full history behind each drink and each dish and his recommendations were great. The Crocante ceviche, the Tiradito and the Octopus were mouth watering and super fresh. For main courses we had the Chifa and Arroz Mariscos. You can see from the pictures how detailed the presentation is. Well, it tastes even better. Try the Picarones for desert!
