The broccoli soup was cold and I had to go up to the waitress sitting at the bar, playing with her phone to get it heated up. It was okay and kind of flavorless.

Although the fish was very good, I have a hard time with them saying this is 4 “full” pieces of cod. It is more like 4 fish “Nuggets”. They were that small.

The coleslaw was flavorless, the dressing was very bland.

The fries were tiny scraps and undercooked.

Sadly, this was the first and last time I will be eating here.

They also charge 3% to use your credit card.

Rocky’s is a local staple in Trenton with delicious food, plenty of drinks and beers on tap and best of all live music! They have lots of parking in the back and plenty of TVs to watch the game. The staff is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back!

The new owners have done a really nice job in remodeling and changing up the menu. The new owners are the same owners of the Truago in Old Trenton, at least that’s what I was told.

The chicken wings are so much better than when it was Busters. They also have a better variety on their menu, including some bbq dishes. I had their brisket the last time I ate here. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had, but it was quite good. I believe that they make their own sauces too, all of which are great. I don’t like the Nashville sauce though.

One thing that I wish that they did have was mac ‘n cheese. How can you serve bbq and not have mac ‘n cheese?

Their service is top notch as well. Their waitresses can take care of the whole bar by themselves. I was in here the other day and the brisket waffle fries weren’t hot. And we mentioned it to the waitress and she, not only brought us out hot fries, but also took the brisket fries off of our tab. This was so unnecessary, yet so considerate. You can tell that the staff, from top to bottom, really care about their customer’s experience. That experience alone will bring me back in.

The beer selction is pretty good as well.

And while they are not dive bar prices, they are quite reasonable for what you get. 4 pieces of codd for under $12 is a good deal if you ask me.

Overall, this place is well worth the visit. Their food quality is much better than Busters.

Review of Busters (In location prior to Rocky’s Roadhouse):

I came in here last year. For those that don’t know, it’s in a good location, on the corner of Jefferson and Vreeland.

Their prices are pretty good. While I did not try the hamburger that was awarded by some guy that likes hamburgers, I was not really impressed with the chicken wings. I was told that the wings were pretty good by people in there, but as it turns out, they were just those little packaged frozen wings that were deep fired.

One thing I thought that was really cool about this place was that for every week of the year, a guest can pay money to pick a playing card. And if your card is picked, you win a jackpot. I’m not really sure if that is exactly how the giveaway works, but I am in the ballpark somewhat.

Overall, Buster’s is worth the visit.

Great food, big portions. Worth the money. Homemade chips alone is worth trying this place. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Definitely will come back here.

Sat at the bar, the blonde bartender wasn’t friendly at all. Took forever to order. The pop and beer were flat. Wife ordered fish and chips. She was served 2 burnt fish which they replaced with well cooked fish. My wagyu burger wasn’t bad. The garlic Parm fries were ok I wouldn’t come back and eat here.

Food was not very good. We had 6 people in our party, and 3 of them did not like their food. Burger tasted funny, Cuban sandwich was not like a Cuban, perch was fishy tasting, fries not very tasty. One person got food poisoning. We will not return.
