Ordered 3 tenders medium, waffle, fries, mac&chs, ranch sauce. Tenders are huge, flavorful spice but next time I would go with more heat. The dry rub are better than sauces that start with vinegar.
Waffle was light and fluffy and served with real maple syrup. This New Englander is hoping it’s from the Northeast to support local farmers.
Crinkle fries were crispy and delicious, not too soft, not burnt. Great seasoning without being heavy on salt.
Mac&Chs has a distinct onion and garlic flavor as it should and has the right amount of sauce to make it sticky and not drippy. I prefer my recipe I make for my family but this is still very good.
I don’t know if the ranch is homemade or not but it is amazing. I wish my ranch tasted this good.

The price is slightly higher than fast food, my meal was $24 with tip, but well worth it. I had one tender and half my mac&chs leftover for lunch the next day. It’s counter service, but there is also a busser to clear tables. I believe the tip is justified in this setting.

Hands down best chicken tenders I’ve ever had. I have been here quite a few times and I wish I could tell you about their other options, but the tenders are so good that’s all I get. I take that back, I got the whole wings one time and they were great as well. I just feel like you get more chicken with the tenders that they’re the best deal on the menu. I would try their rotisserie chicken but you can’t get their seasonings on them anyway, I sent these pictures to my dad and he said they looked burnt. Don’t worry, that’s just the seasoning! Anything above medium heat comes with a thicker application of the spices (which I like). The thing is, their medium spice level is too hot for half the population, so you gotta enjoy the heat to order it anyway. These I got here were Xtra Hot, and I’m not exaggerating, they are lethal. I’ve gotten them twice before and couldn’t handle it the first time. Anyway, regardless of the spice/seasoning level, this chicken is perfectly cooked, juicy and tender and full of flavor in itself. The sides are a generous portion (the salad is a $1.50 upcharge). Seriously good home cooking, great atmosphere, and decent service! If you decide to stop by, just be prepared to wait in line for 10-15 mins during regular meal times because this place is so popular.

I found their quality very good. The chicken was crispy and juicy, not greasy like many other places. Their fried pickles were unbelievably delicious; definitely worth trying! I was also surprised by the generous portion of my side salad, which was crispy and fresh.
Service was great, they mixed up our orders and made the meal extra hot instead of Rocky Hot. They quickly remade and fixed the order without any complaints, even though the place was very busy. We’ll definitely be back!

Came here because my friend suggested it.
The friend pickles were literally the best I’ve ever had, and ive tried fried pickles from like 10 different restaurants in the last 2 months. The chicken was seasoned well but a little bit dry. The toast was also kinda wack. The slaw was pretty bland as well. Maybe the chicken would be better with the upcharged sauces but I only used ketchup.
Overall it was a good experience though the atmosphere is really nice and the staff were all super helpful.

It has been several years since I have eaten at Rocky’s in South Asheville and on a recent trip to pick up my sister at the airport, I knew I would have to take her to Rocky’s. Her flight was delayed so it was almost 8:30 when we finally got to the restaurant. Service was great and no one acted like it was a bother that we walked in so close to closing time. I got the chicken tenders and waffles, my sister got the Cheerwine sandwich and fried okra, and my hubby got thighs and potato salad. Everything was delicious. I really have to rave about the potato salad. I am pretty sure it was the best I have ever had (and my mama makes one mean potato salad). My sister paid for the meal, so I am not sure about the cost.

Had a quick dinner on the outside patio. Overall the food was delicious but they were out of sweet potato casserole and the green beans were stringy and had an odd flavor. The chicken sandwich was just on toast so we put it in the biscuit instead. I would definitely recommend the corn casserole and okra. Service was quick and the staff were friendly. Fun, colorful vibe!

I seldom claim, “The best chicken I have had in a long while”, but Rocky’s has now claimed the title. We went at lunchtime first and could not get in. We knew something good was being served. We went back a little early for dinner. It was juicy and crispy. But the FLAVOR of the hot chicken was on point. The folks that worked there were patient and helpful for the first-time visitor. The fries were crispy but soft on the inside. Friends had the greens and mac and cheese. They were happy with the flavor of both. We were at the Sweetwater location. Only one issue and it was not with the food. Parking was tight.

Can’t really speak on atmosphere I always order to go. I love there Chef salad when it is prepared RIGHT… When you order to go, check it. The pic shows chicken burnt so bad it made the most of the salad uneatable. Nobody wants to choke on chicken. With my rant over, for the most part I ❤️ them best salads around when made right

Rocky’s is a go to place for good quality home cooking chicken. The claim to fame is hot honey fried chicken with great sides. Service is great but realize it is order at the counter and brought to the table. Atmosphere is great especially on a nice day but the interior is simple but clean. You go for the food not for white table cloths !

Stopped in while on vacation and this place did not disappoint! Cashier was very helpful so we tried the Chicken Pot Pie and the tenders. The pot pie was amazing and the tenders juicy and crispy at the same time! Service was friendly! We will definitely come back for more chicken pot pie!
