Me and my son had time to kill so decided to go get some breakfast. Nice and chill spot in Waipahu, lots of uncles and aunties just chill and talking story. Has a really nice diner vibe and with the open kitchen more fun. Service was fast and friendly, food came out nice and hot and the waitress is very helpful. Would definitely come back and try out different dishes.

Amazing food for a very good price. It’s a small local cafe. We came early in the morning and all locals were dining there. The fried rice omelette was delicious and the banana pancakes has nice pieces of banana and tasted delish. Would definitely eat here again.

This is a rare classic American Diner with Hawaiian music on the radio which reminds you that you are in fact in Hawaii. If it weren’t for the music, it feels like a perfect East Coast diner. Not fancy but comfortable, cozy and friendly.

OMG I Love Rocky’s!!! The fried rice omelet is to die for. Pair that with a short stack of banana pancakes for breakfast and you are in a food coma till noon. But loving every minute of it. I went to Rocky’s when it was next door. I loved looking at the little scraps of notes near the register, the checklist near the take out window, the bar stools. The new place is a little bigger, and the people, food and atmosphere is still fantastic. This is one of those family institutions that needs to keep going. It makes you feel at home, it makes you happy just being there. Oh, and if you have a few minutes after your meal, go wander through the fish market and shops next door at the Waipahu Festival Marketplace.

This was our first time here and it’s very confusing when you get in so let me let you know what to do. This really is a hole in the wall, mom & pop shop. You have all of the Aunties doing the work with cooking and as wait staff and cashiering.
When you first go in through the front door you’ll see it’s not very big at all. If there are people waiting outside, that’s an indication that there’s a wait to get a seat. If there’s nobody waiting outside, look around the place and see if you can spot any empty booth tables to your right or seats at the counter by the grill on your left. If there’s a spot, feel free to take it–if there’s not and you are still facing in towards the register there is a clipboard hanging on the wall (right next to the door) to your left. It’ll ask for a name and how many people. After you write your stuff you go and wait outside.
If you’re wondering if this place is worth the wait I would say the many people who frequent this place would most definitely say it is. The portions are good. The food is made to order and yes, this ‘home cooked’ meal was delicious. The Aunties or ‘Titas’ are very sweet and they have regulars that come by every day.
I got the biscuits with gravy and my husband got a loco moco. We got an order of rice and spam for our littlest one. We all really enjoyed our food and their orange juice was super refreshing. The price is really good for what you get.
Lastly all I really want to say is have patience for the ladies working very hard to cook food and serve the crowds. Yes, the wait can be long but I like to take the time to look around and see all of the history on their walls and enjoy the company I had.
