We ate here for our anniversary on valentines day. We had a wonderful experience!! Our waitress Nancy was a delight… 🙂 Very Clean and inviting place. The food is on another level!! I have the steak with loaded potatoes and baked macaroni…WoW!! Seriously whoever is in the kitchen makes a difference. This Chief is on it and/or the kitchen staff are flavor experts. My wife’s Lobister Ravioli was delicious and freash. I wasn’t sure what to expect…we are so very happy we decided to try somewhere new. Now that I know about Rocky Face Traven, We Will be back!! This is going to be a regular place for us to eat for sure !

The Rocky Face Tavern at Springdale Resort offers a beautiful setting to enjoy Western North Carolina’s autumn colors. The location is excellent, overlooking both the golf course and the surrounding Appalachian forest—perfect for taking in the fall scenery.
However, the food and service were underwhelming. Visited on a Sunday after 2 p.m. and found the lunch menu very limited—mostly sandwiches, a soup, salad, and a few appetizers. The food itself was fine but nothing special. Service also seemed a bit slow, taking over 30 minutes to get our food despite the tavern not looking visibly busy.
TL;DR: Definitely visit for the views. Make sure you mind the time of your visit so you actually get to have more options to eat.

Absolutely incredible views on the patio seating. We came here for Saturday breakfast and Sunday brunch The food is DELICIOUS except for the Sunday brunch breakfast potatoes. I think they forgot to put seasoning on them because it was literally just crispy potatoes with zero flavor(?). But we also had the Tavern breakfast 5/5, biscuits and gravy 5/5, fried chicken biscuit 5/5 and the maple bacon pancakes 5/5. All the food was reasonably priced.
Staff are friendly and attentive. There are heaters for the patio if you need. We were so busy taking in the fall foliage colors. The views of the mountains and Mount Pisgah were beautiful.

What an amazing place. Sid and Page were so helpful with a space for my mother’s 90th birthday celebration. Couldn’t have asked for a more special place. View was amazing and equally amazing was our food. Thank you to you and your staff for making this a memorable occasion in the mountains.

This was our first time and we will be back for sure! The waitress (Nancy) was so attentive and very sweet. She gave us so many good ideas on the food and even more information if we come back at dinner time one night. The food was SUPERB and very affordable. We are local and will be back for more great food and hope to get Nancy again.

My husband and I and another couple had dinner here a couple of weeks ago. I made a late reservation do we could sit outside as it got dark. I love this restaurant most for its Mountain views. All our food was good although my husband’s steak came out overdone twice. The third time wasn’t as he ordered but close enough to medium rare and since the rest of us had already finished our meals he had already said he would eat it the third time no matter what. The chef brought it out the third time to make sure my husband was happy. The rest of our food was very good. We ordered dessert but because it was late in the evening they were out of some. Because of my husband’s steak mishap they brought us a dessert electric what they still had. That was our favorite part of the meal. We will definitely go back maybe to try lunch.

We are from out of town and had such an amazing dinner here. The staff here was absolutely fantastic!!! They were super accommodating, even though we didn’t have a reservation, and everyone is so nice and helpful. We ate on the patio with a beautiful view. As far as food- we recommend the mushroom ravioli (add chicken) and the meatloaf! The other pasta options are very good as well. We also loved the brownie with ice cream!

Great place for bfast! We love coming for dinner too. They are popular and also occasionally do special wine dinners or have special events so it’s always best to call to make a reservations.

Don’t be fooled by the Country Club setting- this beautiful tavern is open to the public, has a laid back vibe and a warm and welcoming staff!
Our server, Nancy, knew the menu incredibly well and provided excellent service to our group of four while also juggling a group of 16 nearby!
We were there to celebrate my mom’s birthday- she had the biscuits and gravy, I had the crabcake benedict, my husband had the chicken and waffles and my brother had the Monte cristo. All in all we thought the food was great and we already plan to return to try more of the menu which had no shortage of wonderful sounding options at a very reasonable price point!
We will certainly be back!

I love eating here so much. Every time I have been whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner the food has been delicious. Very cozy and relaxing atmosphere. With incredible views of the mountains. Have made many great memories here. Great place for date nights or special dinner. The Tuscan chicken is my go to meal here. Extremely delicious! I have never been disappointed with the food here.
