We are dog friendly inside our bar area and brick kiln inside. Friday & Saturday the restaurant opens at 12pm and our last booking time is 8pm.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. A perfect setting overlooking the sea. A laid back vibe, with lots of seating inside and out. Fish and chips for hubby. Vegetarian poke bowl for me . Both delicious. Nice to have a couple of vegan and Vegetarian options….. I know it’s a seafood place but we went as husband wanted to try the fish. Glass of local wine = perfect .

First visit, we drove from Norwich. Before mentioning about the food, the location itself and concept are great, ideal for a meal or with friends and after that accessing the beach for a stroll straight from the restaurant gate. Crab pappardelle was nice (just a bit more salt was needed) however cooked al dente and lots of crab in it. Lobster equally good, the menu is straight forward, it’s all about fresh fish and sea food from the boat to your table. Great location, tables and chairs outside too and when the weather is warm and nice the place – I am sure – becomes even more stunning. There is a seafood shop you can buy from and take home. Staff are super attentive and knowledgeable, engaging and good story-telling, a well run business, good food and a stunning location.

We had such an incredible family meal at Rocky Bottoms today. Firstly, the venue itself is amazing, the decor and seating outside are beautiful and make for a lovely setting, with a view of the sea. The food is INCREDIBLE – everybody’s meal was absolutely 10/10. I shared the seafood platter with my Mum and we loved it – the highlight was definitely the lobster and we really enjoyed the variety of sauces that come with it. Also special mention for the salt and pepper squid which was fantastic. Finally, the staff were wonderful, they made us feel very welcome and were super friendly and accommodating with our baby niece who was with us. I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to come here despite being local, and I absolutely will be coming back soon.

We visited Rocky Bottoms for the first time last night and after pulling into the carpark we marvelled at the beautiful location. The restaurant is set on the edge of the Norfolk coast and with the lobster pots and anchor chain lighting everything looked very quaint. The outside area is extremly well kept with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the stunning views.
We were greeted as soon as we walked in by a very friendly young lady and we taken straight to our table, which was located in what I’m going to guess is a conservatory with large french doors. On the night we visited it was quite warm despite being the end of September so the doors by our table where open and the view of the sea was on full display (a lovely setting for our birthday celebration)
Our order was taken by another cheerful member of staff and our drinks, starters, main and desserts just flowed out nicely. Everything tasted amazing and was beautifully pressented. After finishing our food we took our drinks outside and finished our perfect evening out in the garden.
All the staff we saw that night where very attentive and cheerful and we really felt welcome.
We can’t wait to come back and try some of the other tasty food and definitely plan on going back in the summer to sample Al Fresco dining.

Visited on a Friday evening whilst on a break in Cromer. The service was so friendly, welcoming and attentive. We both had lobster which was delicious and the accompanying thick cut chips and salad were lovely. We will definitely be back to go through the rest of the menu when we revisit the area and would highly recommend to seafood lovers.

Wonderful lunch here. We had the small platter between 2 which was perfect. Everything really fresh and tasty. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The outside area is so nice and would be a perfect late afternoon chill out spot.

What not to love about Rocky Bottom, everything is perfect, from driving in with interesting landscaping and perfect views, to the most friendliest staff you could ever wish for. Perfect service, some lovely banter with the young lady and the oysters and crab salad were perfect. (The Asian sauce with the oysters is delicious, we were even given some to take home! ). We spoke to the owner too who educated us on the different methods of cooking crab v lobster when we asked. If all the tables are booked (as they often are) then you might be able to be seated by the door/bar as this is usually kept free. Our 2 dogs were allowed inside as well..
Great spot, can’t fault it, it’s rare these days to give 5/5 for everything when eating out these days. Keep up the good work

Beautiful, fresh, crab and lobster served with lovely salads and chips. We arrived at closing time (5pm) so had an early dinner but didn’t feel rushed at all, leaving at about 6:45pm. Staff were so friendly, a really nice experience.

This place is a gem. It’s a beautiful place; very clean and well presented, right next to the sea. Fresh catch every day, food deliciously prepared and served by friendly, welcoming staff. And you can get fresh seafood to take home with you from a separate little place next to the restaurant.
They were quite busy when we called, today, after we randomly found them through Google maps. A table wasn’t guaranteed but we thought we’d chance it; very happy we did.
They kindly made space for myself, my wife and two children, and the food was delicious. Portions are extremely reasonable, and quality is just right. My wife, being Japanese, is not easily impressed by seafood, she’s used to some of the best in the world, and Rocky Bottoms scored very highly in her book. And the children were pleased with what they had, as was I.
Also, don’t leave without having the fudge brownie.
We’ll certainly be returning there.

Just stopped for a sandwich. Wow! what a place. The counter was, even late in the day, well stocked and reasonably priced. All fresh and well presented. The lady who made my awesome crab sandwich (which was absolutely stuffed with well prepared, no shell brown and white meat) was chatty, friendly and very knowledgeable. She’s a real credit to the firm. I will be heading back there when we return to Norfolk, no hesitation!
