Rockwood Grill was such an incredible experience that I went twice during my stay and I’d go again without hesitation. From the moment you arrive, the setting feels elegant yet relaxed, with a view that instantly slows time.
What truly makes this place unforgettable is the atmosphere: black swans gracefully swim right up beside you as you dine, creating a scene that feels straight out of royalty. It’s peaceful, unique, and unlike anything else in the area.
The food was excellent both visits, but what elevated the entire experience was our waiter, ELANA. She was attentive, warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely made us feel taken care of service like that turns a great meal into a memorable one.
If you’re planning a trip to Palm Springs / Palm Desert, Rockwood Grill is an experience you absolutely should not skip. It’s not just dinner, it’s a moment.

My husband and I went to Rockwood Grill for our anniversary dinner and breakfast and we were impressed with everything!
Food : Dinner was spectacular! Everything was fresh,Good quality and we love everything we ordered.Next morning we came back for breakfast and it was great as well.Nothing went wrong at all with any items and we were very happy with it.
Vibe : Cozy and modern with very bright natural light and amazing view.
Service : Our dinner server was “Elena” we loved her! She was very polite,Went above and beyond to celebrate our anniversary,very friendly and she was amazing! My breakfast’s server I can’t remember his name but he was ok,Not bad though but could be faster.
Overall I would definitely recommended Rockwood Grill if you stay at the hotel and somewhere near by.Give this place a try and you’ll thank me later.

We went for our Anniversary dinner. Oh my goodness, what a fantastic dinner. We started out with the Mezze appetizer, which was very nice
For entrees the wife had the Filet Mignon, she liked the cook on it and said it was very good.She had the brussel sprouts for a side and said they were the best she’s ever had. I agree. Our waitress said the secret is they deep fry them.
I had the braised lamb shank and I can’t believe how good it was, tender, fall off the bone deliciousness. Came with mashed potatoes and broccolini. Yum
We finished off the evening with an Afrogoto, and they had decaf espresso to top it off with. That was great
Our server Arial made the whole experience special. Easily one of the top 3 or 4 dinners we’ve had

What an amazing place, the views are incredible from fire pit areas. Having enjoyed coffee around the fire pit we then had breakfast under the heated terrace area next to the water. Service was fantastic and the food to match. I would recommend the breakfast ham and cheese omelette. Elevated price point due to the hotel location but worth it for the experience. We will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our expectations for a hotel restaurant were understandably modest, but our dinner experience at Rockwood Grill was absolutely wonderful in all respects! The only thing that topped our perfectly prepared entrees of scallops and the tomahawk pork chop was ELENA!! Our wonderful server was so delightful. She clearly loves her career and made our dining so special. Her food, drink, and dessert suggestions were perfect. We enjoyed a very memorable dining experience!

We have had Thanksgiving dinner here many times, and in the past, the experience was sensational. This time I was utterly disappointed. The selection compared to past buffets was dismal. No breakfast items, one salad option, etc…The quality of the food was good, but the price was $129 with no champagne. My boyfriend and I each got one glass of wine, $25, an 18% tip was automatically added. Remember this is a buffet. He did clear our plates. For two of us with one glass of wine, $ 367 ! This will be our last Holiday buffet

I am writing to share my deep disappointment regarding our dinner experience last night. Despite being a Gold Marriott member and having high expectations for the JW Marriott, the evening was a disaster. We were seated outside and effectively forgotten by our server. When the food finally arrived, it was cold, and unfortunately, my mother suffered from food poisoning after consuming the chicken dish that had been left out for at least an hour before they served us. For the price paid and the reputation of this hotel, this was unacceptable. I hope you take this feedback seriously to ensure other families don’t have a similar experience.

We just had an amazing experience here.We were a party of 6 and ordered a variety of dishes on the menu. Everything was delicious! However, the highlight of the night was our server, Elena from Italy. She was so knowledgeable, charismatic, kind and took incredible care of us! Even my 11 year old son said, “wow, she’s really good at her job!” We will definitely be back!
