RBG is a staple in the Rockwood/Greenville area. The food is always hot and fresh and the servers are friendly and welcoming. When it’s fully packed and lively, it’s a fun hometown experience. We frequently find another patron(s) to talk to and share stories with. The only suggestion is if/when able, bring back some of the dinner staples. The menu was abbreviated during COVID due to obvious reasons (the seafood and fried chicken were the BEST!). Support this local business and stop in if you’re in the area.

I enjoyed the meatloaf grilled cheese. Amazing sandwich. The French onion soup was good too. Great place to meet locals and have a nice lunch.

Since the options for dinner in the area are very limited, we went to this place 5 evenings in a row, but it was a pleasant surprise. Pizzas, burgers, fish and chips and the salmon was very tasty and all the sandwiches we had – steak bomb, pulled pork and grilled chicken – were really delicious. All waitresses were very friendly and super attentive, service was fast too. We recommend giving it a try.

Great spot in the north woods. Atmosphere is fantastic, food is very good. It’s not a steakhouse so don’t expect that. The Reuben was a great sandwich!

First experience was not good at all. Was served a burnt pizza (literally, the bottom was totally black) and we were still charged for a drink and a sandwich. Took me over a year and a half to go back. This time, the food was much better. Delicious crispy chicken sandwich, unfortunately the bacon wasn’t cooked very long and extremely fatty and chewy…but the potato skins with cheese and crumbled bacon were very good. Granted they gave our salad to another table, we were not charged for it, and over all quite please. Very friendly owners.

We were there June 26 2025 to celebrate my son Nick’s 21st birthday. My son has A-T (ataxia telangiectasia) and is in a wheel chair. This was a very monumental birthday for all of us!
I called the day before and got the voice mail and left a message asking if there was anything special we could pay for to celebrate this occasion. The manager Briar called me back and said she would do what she can to recognize the occasion. Turns out, SHE went to the store and bought some decoration and confetti and had our table all done up. Additionally, she had a birthday card on the table that was signed by the Rockwood staff!!! It didn’t stop there, each employee including cooks, bartenders and wait staff all visited our table, one at a time, periodically throughout the evening to wish Nick a happy birthday!
Kudos and huge shout out, to all who made this a memorable evening for us! And thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Keep rocking!

Kelsey was a great server, very welcoming and smiley. Tossed buffalo wings were true to recipe, crispy and saucy. Soup special was wonderful.

Solid place, food was quite good. Draft selection for beer was a bit weak but it’s in the middle of nowhere Maine. Worth checking out.
