Such wonderful food in a great atmosphere! You’re able to sit and enjoy your meal and company without ever feeling rushed. All the servers are great and the menu has something for everyone. This restaurant lends so much history to our town!

I wasn’t impressed. It doesn’t look like a fine dining experience from neither the outside of the building nor on the inside. The staff wasn’t really welcoming and I found that a bit awkward and wanted to leave upon sitting down.
The food I ordered wasn’t anything to shake a stick at. I ordered the burger medium rare and it came out well done. I don’t think I even finished my food, I just wanted to leave.
I had much better food down the street, you can get a discount at the Italian place next to fire whistle if you tell them you’re going to fire whistle to wait.

I absolutly loved the peppercorn cheese crab soup. Took a quart home. The half turkey sandwich was NOT a half sandwich. It was so big, I could have made 2 sandwiches with all that meat. Went in for late lunch, but it filled me up for a very satisfying dinner.
The sweet bread accompaniment was light airy in the European style.
My carrot cake dessert was very nutty and had a great mix of sweet and salty.

We went here for my b day. The food was pretty good but our waitresses should not have been handling a large party of 16. I had the turkey dinner which was the special and was very good. But we got some other things that were cold and not on time. Also the billing was messed up in the end
They did do an excellent job with the b day cake thoug and they dropped some food ..and the staff did an excellent job of helping cover for the waitresses that fell. All and all an ol experience and I may go back with a smaller group.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times now for lunch. Regardless of which staff member I was assigned to, they have all been courteous, professional, and friendly. This is a little more upscale than your typical lunch spot, and that’s kind of why I like it.
Pictured was a special they were having the other day. Potatoes, meat loaf, covered in a gravy. Onion slivers accompanied the gravy to bring it all together. You can’t see the meatloaf due to gravy, but it was in there, and it was delicious!
If you’re in the area, definitely try this place out. You’re going to spend a little more coin, but the quality of food is there for the price. Oh and they are closed on Mondays, just an FYI

Neat place, first time checking it out was admittedly back in February but the food was good. The menu is a bit daunting at first, but the atmosphere feels a tad more like a fine dining experience with some antiques history around you. The serving staff were super nice. Onion soup is served in a crock, smothered in cheese as well it should be. A bit pricey, so better save this one for a more formal date rather than a quick casual bite.

Attentive waitress for our group of 12. The food was delicious with plenty to take home for “your dog”. If you want to take the time to sit and enjoy your time together and have great food then this is the place.

We’ve only been here twice but both times were very good. I had the beef ravioli. I sampled the cheese ravioli and it wasn’t as good; the inside cheese and the outside cheese (common to both the cheese and beef ravioli) was a bit more than I would like. Maybe red sauce should be a written option for the cheese ravioli. Six of us enjoyed a range of food, from a simple burger to a very nicely prepared steak. The food was priced as expected and the staff was attentive, with the service bordering on superb given their generally younger age. I will be returning.

This has been a favorite of ours for almost 30 years! Always exceptional service…menu w/ something for everyone & it’s always prepared to perfection. If you like salads then this will be the place for you! Their salads are to die for & their homemade dressings are actually something I crave from time to time! The blue cheese dressing is 1 of the best I’ve ever had. If you’ve never been to Red Lion, you have to go! It’s consistently great & we always leave totally full….and normally with doggie bags & dessert for later on! UPDATE 2/14/2025: We went for Valentines Day lunch, with a reservation. It was pretty much filled to capacity, even diners at the bar & the tables in the bar area. Why, then, I ask, would they not have some extra help, & more experienced help on duty for this busy day? Rockwell’s has been in business for Soooolong, they’re surely aware of what days extra help is necessary! As for the food, I’ve noticed a slight downhill slide over the years. Take today, for instance, I ordered the filet w/ bernaise sauce….I want to say it was 1 of their specials for the day. Anyhow, the small shallow bowl w/ the spoon….does that even remotely RESEMBLE bernaise sauce, in any restaurant, town, or UNIVERSE? I never said a word to our server about this, as she was part of the INEXPERIENCED staff that I mentioned earlier. I ordered coconut cream pie to take home and it was absolutely delicious. And just 1 more thing, why in the world do they not have baked potatoes?????
