The standout for me was the seafood platter. Picture this: plump shrimp, tender clams, sweet corn, and perfectly cooked egg, all drenched in a rich garlic butter sauce that was pure magic. Every bite was like a mini vacation to the coast, a perfect medley of flavors that made me wonder if I’d accidentally stumbled into a seafood love letter.
I left feeling so satisfied (and a little giddy, to be honest) that I’m already planning my next visit. Rocking Crab, you’ve got a new fan for life. Cheers to good food and even better nights out!
They offer an all-you-can-eat option for $32.99, with the ability to add on indulgences like lobster, crab legs, scallops, and more. I went for the fried rice seafood boil combo: jumbo shrimp, baby clams, black mussels, green mussels, crawfish, sausage, corn, and potatoes. For my appetizer, I chose the lobster bisque, and for sushi, I kept it simple with a California roll.
The lobster bisque arrived first, and oh my word… this dish could thaw even the frostiest soul. Rich, savory, and deeply comforting, it starts with a gentle warmth and finishes with tender bites of lobster. The spice level is mild so it’s perfect for someone just dipping their toe into the spice pool — and it’s wonderfully filling.
The California roll wasn’t the standout of the night, but it was still fresh and enjoyable, especially for the price.
Then came the true star: the seafood boil. The presentation was colorful and inviting, but the magic was in their house special sauce — bold, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. The black mussels were juicy, though milder in seasoning, while the green mussels were divine and might have just changed me as a person. The crawfish were beautifully cooked, the jumbo shrimp shone when coated in the sauce, and the baby clams were simply delicious. The sausage was unexpectedly full of flavor and paired perfectly with everything else.
And then… the crab. If you don’t order the crab, you’re missing out. Perfectly cooked, sweet, and tender, it was the best I’ve had in years. I wanted to capture a perfect crab meat pull, but I was too excited and devoured the best pieces immediately.
Overall, it was a delightful experience. My only disappointment was not being able to grow a second stomach to enjoy more. I’ll absolutely be returning to try new dishes and, of course, to have more of that unforgettable crab.
Secondly, we ordered cocktails and there was little to no alcohol and tasted like a virgin drink. When my partner mentioned this to the staff, the bartender came directly to our table to confront us and insisted she made the drink correctly. The interaction made our first experience here awkward and she only offered a free shot after the drink was already gone. At that point we felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave, but we already ordered our food. The seafood boils were okay, the lemon pepper seasoning tasted off and some of the seafood like the shrimps were not deveined. The sushi was good. If your looking for a cheap all you can eat, this your place but don’t come with any expectations. We spend $150 for okay food and almost virgin drinks we will not be coming back. However, I’m adding an extra star because our server saved the night by wishing my partner a happy birthday and was nice enough to give him a free slice of cheesecake.
Always a Delicious Experience!
I love coming to Rocking Crab Cajun Seafood and Bar in Stroudsburg. The food is consistently delicious and satisfying. This time, I had the New England clam chowder to start—creamy and flavorful. For my main meal, I ordered the seafood boil with snow crab legs and shrimp with the head on (which I personally enjoy). I chose their house special sauce that combines all the seasonings—it was absolutely delicious!
The sweet potato fries were great too—crispy and just the right amount of sweet. One thing I really like is their all-you-can-eat option, where you can customize how much of each item you want from the menu. It’s a great way to try a little of everything.
I come here often and am always happy with the food and service. If you’re a seafood lover, this spot is definitely worth checking out!
