Our plan was to get a whole pizza but it would have been a 30 minute wait, which was too long for us on that (hangry ) day, so we got slices. The slices were so fresh and savory. Truly New York style. The service was great. While we stood in line the cashier remembered my daughter from her first visit and complimented her outfit. The shop was super busy but, the cashier (I didnt get her name) was patient & took time to engage and answer our questions. I didn’t feel rushed which I appreciated because they were super busy.
Since my initial visit I have been back 3 times and each time was pleasant and the food was superb. I tried a Sicilian slice and the crust was something I’ve never experienced before. It gave ciabatta vibes and I was pleasantly surprised. Another visit I got an Italian Hoagie and it was so good, very flavorful! The bread was crispy on the outside and soft inside the combination of meats/cheese was perfect.
Last weekend my daughter ordered takeout, a whole pizza with basil, onions and pepperoni. It was
This place is my new favorite
I would also like to sincerely thank the owner for reaching out beforehand. We had an amazing and thoughtful conversation, and it truly meant a lot to me. Taking the time to listen, communicate, and care about a customer’s experience speaks volumes about the heart behind this business.
Moments like this reinforce why I’ve supported this place for so many years. Mistakes happen, but how they’re addressed matters—and tonight showed genuine care, accountability, and a commitment to improvement. I’m grateful for the follow-up, the professionalism, and the continued dedication to both the food and the people you serve.
Looking forward to many more great meals and positive experiences ahead.
I ordered takeout because I heard there was always a wait, but to my surprise, there were only a few people dining in, and no lines.
I got the standard cheese pizza with fresh basil leaves and it was huge, but you really get your money’s worth for $23/pie.
The restaurant was bigger than what I thought, and really modern inside and everyone who worked there was so welcoming and friendly even a 1/2 hour before closing time;)
On first bite, I felt like I was in Italy- the ingredients were so fresh! The thin crust was so crispy and unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before, and the sauce was sweet and absolute perfection, although I would have loved a little more;)
You must try this pizza- there’s nothing like this in Pittsburgh!
I can’t wait to go back again! It’s a 10/10 and number one on my list and going to be hard to find anything better.
I was kind of bummed because I was Super excited to try them based on the reviews I read. Based on the pictures on the website & review pics I thought there would be a little cheese pull but mine was more baked in. I reheated a few slices later because I picked it up late & thought reheating it might melt it down but it didn’t. Not sure if it was overcooked because I ordered at lunch time & they were busy or if that’s how it was supposed to be.
