Delicious food and amazing staff! A few friends and I came in on a Saturday night for sushi and Thai food, and we were promptly greeted by the friendly staff. I enjoyed a warm cup of miso soup and crab rangoon to start—some of the best crab rangoon I’ve had! I ordered the Smashing Pumpkins roll, and it did not disappoint. The fresh, savory flavors of black rice with eel, creamy avocado, slightly sweet pumpkin and bright pops of texture from the tobiko complemented each other perfectly. My friend had the jungle curry with chicken which was perfectly spicy. We enjoyed the lovely jazz-esque playlist, cozy ambiance, and lovely people. I love that they offer creative rolls you can’t find everywhere, and we will definitely be back to try more!

If you want to feel like family, with exceptional service, the best rolls that are easy to modify to your liking this is the spot. This has been our favorite neighborhood sushi spot for years. They call us my name, we get hugs and updates on life every time we come in. The staff remembers our favorite orders, the quality of the food is also so fresh and we can’t wait to come back the next time. The spot was accommodating to being gluten free and dairy free, bringing gf soy sauce and ensuring I didn’t order anything tempura, and making subs for rolls with cream cheese. This spot is BYOB and they have everything you need to enjoy an adult beverage. There’s a corner store right around the corner is you forgot to bring something from home. Overall such a great experience every time and I hope this restaurant continues to thrive!

My girlfriend and I stopped by on a whim before Kibbitznest and we had an incredible time! The staff (owners?) were fantastic and very friendly. The sushi was also delicious, especially considering the reasonable cost. The smashing pumpkin roll was genuinely one of the best rolls I’ve ever had. We will be back for sure!

Always an absolute amazing spot to visit when you have a sushi craving, the strawberry roll is a MUST! The owner is always so friendly and sweet, she remembers all her regulars and is a great time.

Awesome food! Full of fresh ingredients. Well balanced dishes full of flavor. We will definitely be back. The service was wonderful and we love that this is a local, family owned business. It’s so easy to support local when the food is this good. Oh and definitely make sure you get sashimi. Oh and good luck picking what you want, everything on the menu looked amazing. Our server helped us and we were grateful.

I was craving sushi and I was in the area and saw this place had great reviews so I had to try it. It was late on a Monday night so I was the only one there, but it was great because I received quick and excellent service and the owner/waitress helped me decide what I should get. I got the white Philly and it tasted so fresh and delicious that I ate it pretty quick. The eggroll was also very good. They have a very large menu so tons of yummy food to choose from! Really stylish space with great music playing too, side street parking also very accessible and it is across from the movie theater so you can see a movie before or after eating!

One of my favorite hidden gems in the Lincoln Park Neighborhood. I originally found them via GrubHub and become one of my go to sushi places ever since. I’ve eaten in a few times and the owner is extremely nice! It’s a small contemporary place where everyone is greeted with a warm welcome. Check them out!

I am forever getting food here before/after I see a movie. This BYOB place not only has great food, but the owner is so nice and truly cares. I loved hearing her story of how the chive dumplings I ordered are the same recipe her mom made her for when she’d come home from school. They were amazing, by the way.
Also have to love the adorable Halloween sushi and the amazing sushi roll names. A lot of thought and attention has been put into this place.

Rock Wrap & Roll absolutely deserves 5 stars. The crab Rangoon is on a whole different level—super crispy on the outside, perfectly creamy and flavorful on the inside, and you can actually taste the crab, not just cream cheese. It’s the kind of appetizer you think you’ll share, then end up keeping for yourself. Everything came out hot, fresh, and fast, and the staff was really friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back, and I’m ordering the crab Rangoon every single time.
