Needed to find a quick lunch not fast food. Saw this little diner and stopped in. Seat yourself. Server came promptly with a smile. Small menu which was great. Order your meat and 2 vegetables. That is all we needed. Food came out promptly, hot and delicious. They do have sandwiches and burgers and daily specials. If I lived in this area I would come often.

Fantastic. Just moved down from Wisconsin and have been looking for our new”hole on the wall” breakfast joint. Don’t let your eyes get bigger than your stomach. They certainly don’t skimp on portions!

Had the hamburger steak, it was good, and they tell me made fresh everyday. Apparently the only thing frozen is the country fried steak. Will have to try the breakfast sometime (was told hours for breakfast are wed-fri, 7-10). Didn’t see any employees wearing face masks, but the place was clean, service fast and polite.

This sweet little place is attached to a corner gas station but you’d never know it when sitting in there. I was disappointed they were out of the daily special of Chicken and Dumplings (which means it must be some kind of good) but we had a cheeseburger inspired. Homemade pattie with great buns and some awesome fries. The service from Dawn was sweet and authentic. The place has a very cool old school diner atmosphere and we loved every minute of it. They observed all COVID restrictions that we could tell.

I’m so delightfully full this morning thanks to the great food at Double D’s Diner. It’s a wonderful diner hidden in Long Beach that I highly recommend. My server Penelope was friendly and very informative. I had the Western omelet with sausage and it was HUGE and delicious. They only serve breakfast and lunch but I will be back soon to try something else. That Club Sandwich is calling my name.

Great breakfast! They have good biscuits and gravy. The shrimp omelet is very good. I added onions and peppers to make it even better. The service is very good. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant to talk to. The atmosphere is nice. It’s set up as a 50s style dinner with Elvis Presley memorabilia and his music playing in the background.

Great little diner! Staff was super friendly and service was quick. They had a great menu to pick from with portions being a great deal for the price. I drive past this place on a daily basis, but have never had a chance to stop. Glad I finally did!

1st time here and had a bad experience. Had breakfast for 5 people, 1/2 the pancakes were burnt, eggs over cooked (hard edges), 1 piece of bacon was under cooked, most of other bacon was burnt, omelet was so so. We do breakfast a lot, this is by far the worst breakfast food I’ve had at a restaurant. Coffee was good, waitress was nice. Sort of an odd dark elvis ambience attached to a gas station. Seriously hope the food isn’t always this bad, maybe just a bad day for the cook. Hope they step it up; I like to support local restaurants but even Waffle House blows this place out of the water for the same $$.
