I was coming through Nashville and decided to get just a side of shrimp fried rice. I frequent a different location in Tenn and so I know what the rice should taste like. This rice was dried out, tasted stale (like it had been sitting out all day and just barely warmed up in the microwave). It was barely warm. I couldn’t even eat it. It was horrible.

Went there today and our experience was great until the end. My daughter (3yrs) saw some fun swirly straws from across the restaurant and asked our very sweet waitress if she could have one and she kindly said yes and came back with a few (3) even though she only asked for one. A few minutes after getting our food, our waitress walks past us and out the door (she looked very upset, crying even) I assume she was let go for an unknown reason. After that, some lady, didn’t get her name sadly, came over to our table and was very nice at first. She spotted the straws on the table and say “oh why so many?” And I told her our waitress was nice enough to give my daughter some since she asked. She was silent for a minute then proceeded to take the straws away and say “we don’t give those out like that” as my daughter reached and said “no” obviously upset and she walked away with them. These were the very cheap, plastic, swirly straws you can get from just about anywhere. Now I don’t expect my daughter to have her way with everything but to give her something then take it away in such a rude manner was unnecessary. Just very rude service in my opinion. The food was good but will not be back because of the incident and rudeness from the unknown worker.

I’ve never had just sushi for a meal as it’s always been on the side or an appetizer but Rock n Roll changed my mind. The menu and ambience of the place was great & very creative. Over the 4 courses of different sushi we got, it was all incredibly delicious & the staff was absolutely fantastic (especially our awesome server Mike! ). The live music was top-notch as well. Looking forward to coming back & enjoying more!

my partner and i have never had sushi inside of this location but we definitely won’t be back. we came in and my partner sat ourselves. we knew that we both wanted sapporos with our sushi but unfortunately my partner didn’t have her ID. i had already ordered my beer and water and she figured out she didn’t have her ID so we told him that she just wouldn’t drink… he laughs and says he can’t bring me a beer because he needs everyone’s ID at the table… and it’s the rules. i then replied so what do you do if someone is dining in and another adult doesn’t drink alcohol? and he laughed and walked away and said it’s just the rules. i said we are both adults, i’m 30. and we wouldn’t break the law and disrespect your business like that. he just walked off. that is very poor customer service and something doesn’t seem right about that. we are both black women and i’m sure the case would have been different if we were not black. we left and we won’t be back. that is unfortunate that the waitor would conduct himself in such a way. i have never heard of a rule like this to be honest. but don’t even waste your time, just go to to blue sushi sake & grill. the service and food is TEN times better!

Love this sushi/hibachi place! The environment is a 10/10 due to the music and the respective videos playing on the TVs. Food comes out HOT! It’s amazing. If you’re in the Nashville/Vanderbilt area you gotta stop by! Some of the best headbanger shrimp, rice, and sushi this dude has eaten. *Went during the Spooky Season and MCR was playing.*

Overpriced sushi that all tasted the same. Everything on the sushi menu was “do you want shrimp or crawfish tempura?”, “Cream cheese or no?”, “imitation crab stalk?”. Every roll was covered in spicy mayo, eel sauce, and crunchy bits so you don’t know when roll you are eating unless it had labels. Way over priced for what you get. I gave the food 2 stars because the pot stickers had a good flavor, but it felt like the pot stickers themselves were from Costco and they added a different sauce.

Trivia on Tuesday is my favorite part of the week,we have a large group of people and were always win a little something. The sushi is fresh, hibachi is spot on, and the wait staff rocks it out !

Honestly I’ve been coming in and out on a regular basis from work. Not too expensive and I am happy say the food is above average and not to mention the good vibes the place sends to the customer makes you want to come back. I have tried every roll on the menu and I can say that they do not have bad rolls at all … except for the ramen, too salty for me. Wish they can redo the recipe and I could come back and change my mind (not sure what it is but the ramen in the United States is always been salty, overseas is a different strory).
