Rock N Raw was such a great experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The grilled chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy, and the taco was amazing flavor and just the right kick. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned.

If you’re looking for casual dining with an innovative Asian-style menu and hand-rolled sushi then you must give Rock ‘N Raw Sushi Joint a try! Our first time dinning there, we tried a little bit of everything – from the Crab Rangoon, to the Lo Mein and some sushi rolls. My personal favorite was the Beautiful Girl sushi roll. It’s a fried roll with all the yumminess of a regular sushi roll! Malee was our server, and she was very nice and prompt with all of our requests. I’m looking forward to returning and trying some more menu items in the future.

Out of all the restaurants in this Casino, this spot is pretty awesome for casual dining experience. There isn’t a long line and their sushi selection is very impressive. We ate here 3 times and all 3 visits last week didn’t disappoint.

Service was so slow. We waited almost an hour for a table and 45 minutes for food (including 20 mins from sitting down waiting for our waitress to even take our drink order). The sushi is good but still overpriced. Bao buns were lacking filling and overpriced for the amount of food you get. Entrees were okay but nothing special. The table split was weird so I couldn’t even hear my party and the music was blaring.

This place is Epic! Food is served in Minutes. Their Fish used is imported fresh from Japan. This is the Real Way of Making Sushi. Ask for Thomas. AKA “Take Care of You Thomas” He is one of the Managers and one of the most knowledgeable person I have ever meet in the Food &; Restaurant Business. Thomas will definitely take care of you. He is a delight to talk with. Tell him El Tigre’s Taste Buds sent you!

This sushi restaurant was great for quick service and delicious food! We were on the waiting list for a few of the other restaurants at Hardrock when we walked upstairs and got right in to this spot. The menu is very straightforward and offers a good selection of Asian cuisine for anyone in your party. We will definitely be back!

DIAMOND STANDARD OF SERVICE!
We arrived around 9pm on New Years eve. And of course every table was packed. We went ahead and put our names on the wait list after being assured that the list was moving quickly. Sure enough 15 min later we were called.
After being seated we waited about 10-15 more minutes for someone to take our drink order when JAS who had been behind the register asked if we were ok. She had a large cast on her leg as she had recently twisted her ankle. We told her no one had helped us yet and she told us that they were down to 2 servers because of call outs.
We were extremely surprised to hear the bad news but then she took our full food order. I asked if she was a waitress and she said No. She was just helping out. So we laughed and said thankyou as she limped away.
We waited about another 5 minutes and decided to try another restaurant that was off property. I went to the manager Thomas and asked him to cancel our order and he asked why. I told him that we understood that they were really busy and there were no hard feelings but we needed to get a bite before everything closed for the evening.
This is where it gets good. Thomas refused to let us leave. He knew we had planned to pay for our meal with our loyalty points which were about $45 worth and he refused to let our first experience at the Rock and Raw be negative. I reluctantly agreed and motioned for my wife to return to the restaurant as she was already at the bottom of the escalator.
By the time she got back to the table our drinks had arrived. 3-4 minutes later our first course arrived and about 5 min after that our main entrees arrived. On top of the food service being EXTREMELY FAST the food was amazing.
I was so stunned that I forgot to take photos of all the food. We had
Bao Buns (5 stars)
Combination Lo mein (4 stars)
Tempura shrimp (4 stars)
Sexy Girl Roll (5 stars)
Green Dragon Roll (5 stars)
The pricing on this menu is very fair. We expected it to be expensive because its on casino property but the combination 3 bao buns were only $12 and the Rolls were about $17 each. So not too bad. I have to say that I really lost it when we asked for the check and Jas who wasnt our waitress but had been checking in on us said that we werent allowed to see the bill. Thomas had comped the meal and told her to remind us to get dessert before we left.
Ive been in a lot of restaurants and I have to say that ive never gotten service like this anywhere. Even though they were short staffed the General manager and the Food and beverage manager were out there waiting on tables and making sure the guests were happy. And most cashiers with a twisted ankle would have stayed behind the register instead of going above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of.
If the hard rock doesnt give out Medals for this kind of service they should. Or at least a nice raise or a couple of free nights at the hotel at the least. The staff at the Rock and Raw is amazing and they have earned a patron for life.

Hidden gem at the second floor of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Tampa.
The appetizers are always fresh and served to order.
The sushi selection is limited but all have fantastic taste. My preferred one is the Green Dragón….delicious.
The entrees are also good options. The Mongolian Beef is my favorite.

Pros:
The staff was friendly and the food was beautifully presented and came out fast. The Bay shore kamikaze roll was spectacular. The sake flight was fun. Lastly the wagyu slider was challenging to eat but mouth watering!
Cons:
Five of us went together and were sat at this weird bar thing were we couldn’t even have conversation with each other. The shrimp fried rice and chicken teriyaki stirfry was a great portion size but pretty bland in flavor. Off the special menu the Sashimi platter was so beautiful but not worth the price.. it was tiny.
Side note, keep in mind this place is in the casino so you will smell cigarette smoke.
