Bar, Restaurant & Live Music venue where Coastal Cuisine meets Mountain Fare. Kitchen open until 9pm everyday and bar until at least midnight on most nights. Breakfast additions served daily until 2pm. While our coastal‑inspired offerings shine, we take equal pride in catering to every palate — a dedication reflected in our Rock Island Burger, honored as the Best Burger in Snowmass Village for two consecutive years by The Aspen Times. This year, we were further distinguished as Best Restaurant, a testament to the craftsmanship, care, and elevated hospitality that define us. Rock Island also offers an elevated setting ideal for large parties, celebrations, and private events. Our spacious layout, refined atmosphere, and attentive hospitality

Solid breakfast at Rock Island Oyster Bar & Grill. The breakfast sandwich was loaded and satisfying, and the lobster eggs benedict was fresh with excellent hollandaise. Great service, relaxed outdoor setting, and a strong start to the morning in Snowmass.

We ordered a wide range of drinks and apps. Everything was made with care and attention to detail. Not a single thing we didn’t like. Highly recommend you try this place in Snowmass.
While I don’t normally eat New England clam chowder, I would describe it as outstanding. Hearty but not too heavy or creamy.
My wife says it was the best burger she’s ever had.
We also enjoyed the ceviche and the spicy tequila drinks!

Our dining experience at Rock Island Oyster was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish! The food was incredibly fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor exactly what you hope for when visiting a new spot!
Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and the oysters were some of the best we’ve ever had.
What truly elevated the entire evening, though, was our server Angelica. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, her timing was perfect, and she made us feel welcomed and taken care of without ever being intrusive. You can tell she truly loves what she does, and it made the experience unforgettable.

The food is amazing, better than most restaurants in Aspen and Snowmass. Quite a lovely surprise. Ronin the chef is a premier culinary artist. Natalia & Julieta are warm, friendly and very eager to give a great experience. Love this place!!!

Oh my God, such an amazing vibe and great place. Live music. All staff were just amazing and accommodating. It was my first time trying oysters and they had so much fun with me trying it. The tuna is the best I’ve ever had. 10 out of 10 recommend.

I had heard about this place but hadn’t tried it yet. I met a group of friends and walked in without any idea what was on the menu (except the obvious – oysters, which I don’t eat). We arrived during Happy Hour and ordered some Pinot Noir along with the French Onion dip. I was hesitant to order the dip because some onion dips can be overwhelmingly onion-y. That wasn’t the case here. It was delicious with the chips as well as with the fresh veggies. I hadn’t eaten all day, so also ordered the cheeseburger with Gruyère cheese. I rarely eat burgers and when I do order one, I don’t think I’ve ever eaten more than half. That also wasn’t the case here – I devoured the whole thing because it was so tasty and perfectly cooked. I also got the opportunity to try the Linguini alla Pesto one of my friends ordered and it was incredibly flavorful, with perfectly cooked pasta.
Then came dessert. We ordered the Warm Sticky Toffee Pudding, Crème Brûlée, and Key Lime Pie for the table. All I can really say is it took every bit of self control I could muster not to fight for every last bite. All three were sinfully delicious.
I’m really looking forward to watching this casual, unassuming restaurant with delicious food created by an amazing up-and-coming chef rise to the top in Snowmass. I strongly recommend trying it out.

My husband, myself and my best friend were starving and were about to head to Zane’s thinking it was the only spot open as things are winding down during off season— we walked by and decided to try Rock Island and had SUCH a great experience!! Merwin(sp?) was such a wonderful server— so attentive and kind. We ordered a couple of items to share and truly everything was flavorful, served at the perfect temperature and filling. Highly recommend the poke, frito misto and key lime! AND the drink that’s like a Paloma with modelo

Excellent food, service, with a casual atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant, leave your bling in Aspen, come as you are because it’s not fancy. What it is, is high end quality, good food. I live in Aspen and I’m a serious foodie, this award winning chef’s food rivals the best of the best in Aspen, where you will pay $200+ per person to find comparable quality. I’ll take the drive to Snowmas to please my palate with elevated fresh flavors, at affordable prices ! Love “Rock Island” Restaurant in Snowmas!
