If you’re looking for good food that is priced just right, then make sure you stop in at Rock Island restaurant! I come here a few times a year, and the food is always served hot and fresh. The sweet tea is delicious. I had the catfish with hush puppies, fried okra, and a loaded baked potato, absolutely delicious. It’s Defentily worth eating here if you have not tried it.

Really good and nice atmosphere. The fried pickles were really good, very greasy. Got the pork chop with mushrooms and mozzarella, fries and sliced tomato. The Bbq plate (regular) with slaw, turnip greens and cornbread. Dessert was cherry cobbler and pecan pie. All was very good. We would go back again next time we are in the area.

At first glance we didn’t realize the convenience store had a restaurant in the back. We decided to get a bite after hiking at Rock Island, and boy am I glad we did. This was the best lunch spot we’ve had our entire week long trip! My husband loved the burger and I ate every bit of my fried chicken salad. Great service, small-town feel, and excellent food. Don’t miss out on this spot!!

The best catfish I have had TN. We camped at the state park over the weekend and decided to give it a try. Everything on our plate was excellent and priced reasonably. Can not recommend this place enough if you are in the area.

My husband and I were waiting to order something and he pointed at an empty table and said hey, let’s sit there. I said OK sure.
I went to sit down. The waitress stopped me and said “you can’t sit there- there are other people” I said “my bad” and left the table, but she couldn’t just leave the conversation there. She had to add on in a passive aggressive tone “yeah there are other people waiting” gesturing at all of the people behind me to make me feel stupid. And once she sat a group at the table, she also had to make another smart remark about me to them.
Let me explain something.
I decided to get out of the house that day because my mother in law offered to watch my 3 month old. I don’t leave the house much, so I was excited. I was also exhausted.
In addition to caring for a newborn, I’m also recovering from sepsis which almost took my life after I gave birth. I am not functioning 100% cognitively.
So when I sat down at that table, I wasn’t trying to be rude or inconsiderate. I came back to the restaurant to even explain this to the waitress and she pretended to have no clue what I was talking about even though it happened 10 minutes prior. If you really forgot that quickly, be a little more intentional with the way you speak to people. Your negative interaction ruined my day. I’m sure you could tell as I left crying.
You have no clue what a person is going through so don’t make assumptions.

10/10 would recommend. The fish was so tender and flaky it melted in my mouth. The staff were super friendly as well. Felt like home.
