The wait staff were really courteous and attentive. The food was good. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the amount of time it took to receive food after ordering. But we were advised of the wait before we were seated. You know, I’ll give that star back because it was our choice to wait…

Let me start off by saying, I don’t leave reviews often. If I do, I felt strongly that I needed to. This place was recommended to me by my mom, she lives here in Chickasha but I live in Pauls Valley. It was AMAZING! We were greeted and sat immediately. Our server, I wish I got her name, was so sweet, personable and knowledgeable!! She recommended the Philly Cheesesteak and the Enchiladas. My husband ordered the Philly, and he was astonished with how amazing and true to a real Philly it was. He says 90% of the time he orders Phillys they’re not quite right. This was perfect!!! The enchiladas were comparable to some of my favorite enchiladas from other Mexican restaurants. I have been to Mexican restaurants with enchiladas that weren’t as good as these. I would absolutely drive the hour from Pauls Valley to eat here again, I am blown away!!!!

We were here around 4pm, please give our sever our praise because she truly deserves it!!!

Food was cooked correctly. Medium rare was spot on. Steak seasoning and fajita seasoning were a bit lacking. I think it was because they had two large parties and I would guess my steak and her fajitas had to be defrosted on the run. I’ve been there, lived that! Coconut shrimp were terrific. Server was wonderful and salads were good. We’ll give them another try when they are not in such a tight spot and I’ll update the review!

First time eating at the Chickasha location. Our waitress, Cherish, was an absolute sweetheart. Everything was brought to us quickly from our drinks to the appetizer to the main course. I would highly recommend eating here to anyone. Will definitely be back.

Its sad that the best tasting thing we ate was the buttered toast. Our steaks were bland. The ribeye didnt have much marbling. The steaks looked like they were cooked on a pan. I figured they would have been cooked on a grill, since grill is in the name of the restaurant. My kid got the burger and she wouldn’t eat it. Such a waste of money.

First impression of this restaurant is that they need to fix their parking lot lol. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. The food was okay, just a little bland. The atmosphere was the same; granted, we went during a slow, lunch period.

I was here for lunch. The waitstaff was nice and attentive, but the food was just slightly better than ok. In their defense, I had a Mexican lunch and maybe that isn’t really what they excel in, but most of the meals were not something a vegetarian could eat, so Mexican was the best option. The salsa is not worth the chip calories. My exact words on the first bite was, “oh, that’s disappointing.” I asked for Cholula and it was watered down. Overall, I would not go back, but the field in the back had prairie dogs and that was really cool! I may stop by to look at them again.

The server was delightful and friendly which was the best part. Food was dry, bland and very basic. I know it’s a small town at all but there are way better options.

This was a neat and unique place. The artichoke and spinach dip was hot (always a great plus!!!), and i would even suggest that it was homemade. Very tasty and the corn chips were warm, crispy yet light.

So I had a nice lunch. Great staff. But this is also a place that seems to be looking for an identity. I saw 3 distinct and separate dining areas and an outdoor patio bar which I think is new. There are flat screen tv’s.

So what is this place trying to be? Family resteraunt? A cool place for younger folks to hang after 8p? A sports bar?

I enjoyed it. Even if I missed what this place is, I do know it was a great atmosphere and good hot food. Now go enjoy the spinach artichoke dip!!

We’ve wanted to try Rock Island for a while. It was just ok. The chips and salsa was the best thing. I had tea and lemonade that was so weak, it tasted like soured water. My seafood platter looked overcooked but I think the grease was either too hot or too old because the batter was gummy next to the fish/shrimp. The fries tasted like old grease and were dark, too. My husband had fajitas. They were ok, but sorely lacking in peppers. He found 3 tiny pieces and the rest was onions. Our server was mediocre. She took our order, someone else gave us our food, and we didn’t see her again until we were ready for the ticket. She never asked if our food was ok, if we needed a refill, etc. Meanwhile, the server for the table next to ours was excellent. She checked on her diners, kept their drinks filled, and did her job. Too bad she wasn’t ours. All in all, this was a disappointment and we probably won’t go back.
