Someone in the kitchen knows what they are doing. Food came out pretty quickly, delicious, and well presented. We could tell our server was new, but no big deal, everybody starts somewhere.

It was a nice day so we sat outside. They need to order a few more umbrellas, we borrowed one from another table after they left.

Overall, service was quick, food was great, and it’s a nice facility with indoor and outdoor seating.

I would recommend to put a sign out front with some daily specials to get people to give it a try. People need a reason to stop there since it’s not near anything else.

honestly this is my first time here. The music was extremely loud. I’m on the restaurant part, couldn’t even here the waitress talking to us. The waitress would constantly leave for long periods of time. The food was ok. I will say I loved the flatbread pizza.

Let me preface this with this was the 2nd night they were open and there is always room for improvement. I will come back again, and if it is a better experience I will amend this post.

We came here very early on Valentine’s Day and my party were the only ones seated in the dining room. We were met by two young waiters eager to seat us and were very charismatic and polite. As our party filtered in we were quickly brought waters, but unfortunately that was the end of the prompt service for the evening. It took almost 15 minutes to get our drink orders, and then well over 30 minutes to get 2 beers, one glass of wine and 2 cokes. In fact 3/4 of our food arrived before our drinks did and that’s only because we went straight to the bar to get them. The bar had 3 people at the counter and one sitting at a high top so it was not busy either. We gave up on more drinks after that, even though we sat right next to the waiter station we had to get up and make eye contact with them to get anything else the rest of the evening.

The menu is a bit overwhelming, from flatbreads to fajitas/tacos, to fish and chips, jambalaya, and finally over to BBQ with ribs and brisket sandwiches. There is just a lot to going on and it always makes me wonder what’s frozen in the kitchen to keep such an eclectic menu stocked. I guess the answer was the fish and chips because the fish might as well been Gordon’s frozen and breaded fish filets.

The Buffalo chicken flatbread was pretty tasty, the ribs certainly weren’t the ones we used to get from Mackie’s, and the chicken Caesar salad left a lot to be desired with the very diced chicken on top. I thought the bbq bacon burger was going to be the winner for the evening but was told it was just ok.

I will attest the wings were actually very meaty and great quality. The buffalo sauce was fine and had the slightest touch of spice at the end, but the lemon pepper was swimming in butter but was missing the rest of the flavor.

I’m giving them a 3-out-of-5 because it was the 2nd night and feel like this place has potential with the right staff. I didn’t see a manager leading the charge or greeting people, and getting orders out to the tables like I did Mackie’s. Im not sure how much experience in the food industry anybody working there has at this point. My only other complaint are the prices. I know inflation is a mother right now, but $90 before tip for a flatbread, a salad, an order of wings, 2 drinks and a 1/2 order of ribs is astounding!

Yum! Such a nice evening spent with Jose and Iris. The flan was truly some of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot!). Good company – nice peeps at the bar. We had fajitas and they were delish! I appreciate the change in seating m the middle of the bar – this picture does show all the people on the bar side! Also, carry out wine is a great bargain!!!

I really want to give this place 5 stars—because the food truly is that good! My husband and I come here often, and the kitchen never disappoints (though maybe cook the ribs just a smidge longer and they’d be perfect).
Now, the service… let’s just say it’s a mixed bag. There’s one server (Lauren? Laura?—you know who you are!) who totally gets it—attentive, friendly, and on the ball. The rest? Sometimes they seem like they’re playing hide-and-seek with the customers. Communication is also key in service, so having staff who are confident with English would really help the experience flow more smoothly.
That said, we’re not going anywhere—because the food keeps pulling us back! Just tighten up the service, and this place would be unstoppable. 🙂

We dined at Rock Creek Tavern on Saturday night. We each got a half rack of baby back ribs. The portion was quite large and very meaty. The barbecue sauce was tasty. It’s the best ribs I’ve had in years!
We easily made a reservation and the service was excellent. My only complaint is that it was somewhat chilly inside.

The food was good. However, when the waitress put the glass of ice tea down she spilled it on me. I was not offered an apology or even given napkins to clean myself. I was not offered any form of compensation. My clothes now have a tea stain. The atmosphere was very noisy. The music was very loud (which we had to ask to be turned down) and the banging of pots and pans being cleaned made it extremely hard to talk with each other. The restroom was lacking paper towels. Hopefully this will all be resolved before their grand opening on September 4th.

The food is good, don’t get me wrong. I just think the price could have been better than $16. I had the Asian zing wings and 2 margaritas. They were good too but it’s the prices for me. $11 for a margarita and no happy hour? All appetizers prices are over $10. $15 for onion rings??? I would not come back because the prices are ridiculous. I paid $40 for 2 margaritas and wings. That’s crazy.

I ordered the fish n chips. I was disappointed to see that the fish was not freshly battered and was frozen. The nerve to charge your guests $24.00 for some processed fish. My wife ordered the tacos and she said that they were just ok. The menu was all over the place. From a burrito and pizza to steak and crab cakes. I feel like this place could do well by simplifying the menu, and make everything fresh in house, especially for the prices that they are charging.
