When you get one Calzones , you get two of the wedges that you see in the photos. The seasoning on the crust is a nice blend of Italian spices, and they are very liberal with the amount of toppings that they put in. So much so that occasionally, the cheese inside isn’t quite all of the way melted. But a quick trip in the oven at 350° for 5-10 minutes fixes that right up.
The oreo? As for the circle of magic itself; no notes. The only thing that could make it better is the option to get a side of the drizzle that is over the top. Or something marshmallow to dip in.
Seeing pickles(not a fan) of all things on pizza as the first photo you see is rather off-putting, though. If not for that, I would have given this place a shot sooner!
I can’t wait to try more things off of their menu, and I recommend you do too!
(I have only ordered delivery, so I can’t fairly rate service and atmosphere. But I also know the algorithm can be harsh, hence the 4’s.)
(No filters on photos, just authentic deliciousness)
I can’t think of a better calzone in the valley, so much filling and the sauce is great. Cheese bread is fantastic and a giant portion for a super reasonable price. I don’t think you’ll get better value for your money anywhere and the food is truly phenomenal.
I review a lot of pizza spots but rock creek is top three for me in the entire valley for sure. Hoping this place sticks around forever because I don’t know what I’d do without it after a 1 am party night. It’s truly become a staple and you’re supporting some really cool people in the community by coming here.
Bonus: everything reheats supremely well.
BUT if you can have them deliver it, you really should! The pick up location is in the Salt Lake Eats building with no signage to know if you are in the right location or directions for new customers to know how to pick up their order. It was very confusing as the Ipad couldn’t find my order and the ppl working there aren’t really helpful. Also, the parking lot is Tiny – Park on the road if you can.
I placed an online order this morning for pickup at 11:30 a.m. The website clearly showed the restaurant opening at 11:00 a.m. and happily accepted my order with a promised ready time of 11:30.
I arrived a few minutes early and waited in the lobby. By 12:10 (almost 45 minutes past the promised time), there was still no sign of life—no staff, no acknowledgment, nothing. I called the listed phone number multiple times and received no answer. Messages, online chat, every possible way of contacting them went completely ignored.
Only later did I discover that—sometime after accepting my order—they quietly changed their posted hours online to show the location doesn’t open until 4:00 p.m. today. No notification, no cancellation, no apology, no refund initiated. Just radio silence while a customer stands in an empty lobby wondering what happened.
Taking an order for a time when you apparently have no intention of being open is deceptive and unacceptable. I ended up leaving empty-handed after wasting nearly an hour.
BUT the food was outstanding! Pizza was loaded with tasty toppings. The jalapeño pull apart stole show, so much gooey cheese and the ranch was so good. Oreo pizza for dessert was also full of flavor. I’m impressed and will return in the future!
I called the restaurant twice with no answer, and I’m now out $60 for food I never received. The lack of communication, the misleading updates, and the complete failure to fulfill my order are unacceptable. This was a huge inconvenience and a very disappointing experience overall.
The portions were generous, more than enough for one adult. Everything arrived fresh and piping hot. The artichoke sauce with the calzone was a standout, adding a unique and delicious flavor.
Highly recommend Rock Creek Pizza Company for anyone looking for delicious, well-crafted pizza or calzones. I’ll definitely be ordering again!
