I really want to give this place 5 stars! But sadly I cannot. If everything were as delicious as the drinks and mushroom dish it would be 5 for sure, but the pasta and the squash were both pretty dry :/ Ugh. I’ll probably come back and try again. I’d still recommend it. It was a very fun experience.

I frequent Rochambeau as I live in the neighborhood. Could not ask for a better dinner, drinks and service experience!! Connor, David and Travis always provide top tier service while not feeling stuffy or like a performance. I highly recommend coming in- just make sure you get a reservation because it fills up fast!

This restaurant is fantastic. It is owned and operated by a couple of guys and they have a couple of Staff members that help them. That’s it, that’s all they need. They make outstanding cocktails, fantastic appetizers, the entrees that we ordered were incredible. The atmosphere is open and inviting. I would highly recommend this place to anybody, but I’m trying to keep it a secret because we’re planning to go back many times.

This place is awsome. The food is always wonderful. The chefs really take their time with menu engineering so its fresh weekly, some times daily. Try the hush puppies… The drink list is the best in town. The bartenders will create drinks based on guest liking. They fill up quickly, I would suggest a reservation.

Rochambeau feels like a restaurant designed by someone who loves the idea of dining more than the act of feeding people. It’s intimate in the way an elevator is intimate, with prices that suggest a serious culinary experience—one that never actually arrives.
The menu reads ambitious; the plates arrive timid. Portions are so slight they border on parody, as if restraint were mistaken for refinement. Flavors are uneven and often muddled—nothing egregiously inedible, just profoundly forgettable. You keep waiting for a dish to land, to justify the pacing, the prices, the self-importance. It doesn’t.
Cocktails are dressed up with clever names and precious descriptions, but the execution is hit-or-miss, leaning more experimental than enjoyable. Balance seems optional. At these prices, it shouldn’t be.
Rochambeau is a masterclass in misplaced priorities: mood over meal, concept over competence. You leave hungry, poorer, and vaguely annoyed—not because it was terrible, but because it could have been something and chose not to be. Seattle deserves better than dining as a performance piece.

Went here for Valentines day and we both really enjoyed the whole experience. Drinks and food were all amazing and the menu always changes based on the freshest ingredients they can source. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall I would say this is one of my favorite all around restaurants in the city.

Absolutely fantastic! We went with some friends and we ordered everything on the menu. I would definitely order it all again. Their drinks are well, crafted and wonderful. I recommend the American and Europeans

The menu sounded promising, but the execution fell flat across the board. The beet salad arrived undercooked and unpleasantly crunchy, missing the depth and sweetness you’d expect. The mushroom tartine was aggressively salty, to the point where it overwhelmed any nuance the dish might have had.
The drinks were perhaps the most puzzling: watered-down, oddly flavored concoctions involving bone marrow that felt more experimental than enjoyable. Whatever concept they were aiming for didn’t translate into something remotely appealing.
