Good food. The smoke meats are Quality, fresh, delicious and flavorful. They also prepare sandwiches on site. The prices are high, but reasonable. Friendly staff. Quick service. Attentive to good customer service. ALL dishes preped and cooked to order. Limited parking. Dine in area is clean. Clean restrooms and clean restaurant. Definitely worth the stop.

I stopped here on the off chance that they would have old-fashioned ham salad like Mom used to make but they don’t. But I did get a ham sandwich on white bread and it really hit the spot. 6.99 and fairly thick with ham & one slice of cheese. I wish I’d asked him to put mustard on it but the ham is so good It was fine without the mustard. I wish I’d bought some ham to make my own sandwiches later.

After a decade, they have lost my business. I recently reached out to Robertson’s and was met with arrogance from a Charla and Rob and no desire to help me, the customer. My recent correspondence to them:
“I received my beef jerky today and I have to say, I am really disappointed in the quality of the jerky I have been receiving lately. I have been buying from Robertson’s Hams for over a decade but the last THREE orders I have placed you all, the jerky is flaky, white/dull in color, almost powdery, bland in flavor, and almost like I am eating paper. I was really hoping it was just a blip but to receive three orders in a row like this has me complaining now.
Has the recipe been changed? Am I receiving jerky that has been sitting on your shelf for a long time? Has your cooking process changed? Has management changed or quality control??
This beef jerky is expensive so when I spend $70+ for a pound of jerky, I would expect to receive the quality and texture of beef jerky that is pictured on your website. What can you do to help me fix this? Anything? I have spent over $210 on bad quality beef jerky in the last 3 orders and I ended up throwing almost half of the last two orders away because it was inedible and now this current order will likely be the same, half tossed in the trash.”
And they responded with (in so many words), “sorry you are not happy. I’ve been here since the stone ages and nothing has changed. Send the jar back for a replacement (they never offered to cover shipping).
I just felt like they both had an attitude with no care for a long time customer. Why do I have to jump through hoops and pay MORE money and return your crap product?

This place is a meat market that also makes sandwiches. The meat is yummy. We stopped because we saw the ham sandwich signs on the interstate. The sandwich was really good. It is worth stopping here.

What a great place to stop for a meal. We have been driving by their signs in I35 for months and finally stopped in. Had a great basic smoked ham and smoked roast beef sandwhich. The real winner however was the unassuming sausage biscuits. Oh my God!! The locals all get it and it was amazing. The staff was fantastic and let us sample a little of everything.
And did you know they have beef jerky and they all make it right there at that location. 1,000lbs a day!!
Skip all the chains around you and stop there. And they sell their meats in bulk, so you can take it home!

❗The sandwiches are a way to taste the meats. Y’all don’t understand. They sell high quality meats. For under $10 I ate a meal of a sandwich, soda, and sausage biscuit. Next time I’ll get me some sliced ham, sausage, and jerky. They all tasted great. My favorite was the sausage biscuit which I’ll order more of next time since it was slider size. They showed me the size and I was just sampling so I got one. Friendly staff answered all my questions. Don’t write a bad review because you don’t understand their business model. Take care.

This is the best place to pick an original ham sandwich. The portions were big and filling. The atmosphere was very nostalgic and the staff ladies were very friendly. If you get a chance, try the sausage biscuit, they wont disappoint! 10 out of 10 in my book.
