For start the lady in the reception say I never did an order although I have an email that confirms my orders. After she call the the manager and held me on the line for 20 mins!!! She hang up on me and when I try to call them again they blocked me!!!
The stole my money!!!!
Don’t order from them!!!!
I stopped going to Roberto’s based on one interaction getting take out about two months prior. I had seen a picture in the window of something called “Pica Pollo” which according to the advertisement, included fried chicken, salad, and french fries with a sauce. When I walked in they had just opened, and the owner or manager seemed uneasy when I ordered the Pica Pollo but called it back to the kitchen regardless. I sat down to wait.
I probably waited about a half an hour for my meal and ended up having to eat it in the last ten minutes of my lunch break once I returned to work. I went up to the counter to pay, and the cashier was talking in Spanish to someone next to me. She didn’t stop to tell me the total of the purchase but held out her hand for my card. I’m not going to give my card to someone without them being mentally present, so I waited for the conversation to be over or for the person to actually address me. This took about fifteen minutes. They didn’t know that I knew Spanish and the conversation was incredibly personal, and not for customers to hear. Not to mention that it was done during the time I was waiting to check out.
The cashier seemed to be a manager of sorts, and the person next to me was a newer employee. The employee had come to the counter to inquire about why she hadn’t been paid yet. The cashier said that the manager or owner gave her money to give to someone and gave her the name. She said that wasn’t her name, and that she thought the owner got her name incorrectly and that the money the cashier was holding. The cashier disagreed. Then the cashier asked the employee “Are you afraid of the phone?” Because apparently she hadn’t been answering calls during her shifts. The employee said that she was afraid to answer the phone because she wasn’t confident with her English skills or communication skills. The cashier berated her for a time.
After all of that, I was beginning to feel like I should just back away slowly and go to McDonalds instead, and I was completely right, and I should have done that. My food was probably the worst food I have had in a while. The chicken smelled like dirty dish water and didn’t smell like chicken at all. It looked and tasted old, and it made me sick halfway through eating it. I ended up throwing it away for safety reasons. I looked up some reviews on this place after that experience, and it seems to be commonplace for people to have negative experiences here. Food poisoning, roaches, bad customer service, etc… There aren’t many other pizza joints in walking distance of my work, but this place is so bad I’d rather just order pizza from my neighborhood and pay the delivery costs instead. Food quality X, ambiance X, customer service X…three strikes, and you’re out.
We had also ordered a cheese pizza w/sausage for my brother’s family. That pizza was made correctly.
A few minutes later, a young lady called back and asked me to bring back the whole pizza. I said that we had eaten a couple of slices already because we were hungry. She proceeded to say that they could not make us a “free” pizza if I could not return the old pizza that was made incorrectly. I told her that I would talk to her in person when I got there. Who ever heard of a place asking for the food made in error back.
Anyway, I get there and they immediately know that it was me because I have the box of pizza (missing 2 slices) in my hands. They start talking to each other about me in Spanish. They don’t know that I understand Spanish.
I proceed to talk to them about the fact that the pizza needs to be remade correctly. I show them the pizza. The young lady who called me is there, but I had to ask who it was before she would tell me that she was the one who called me. So they tell the pizza maker to make my pizza. Then they proceed to talk unkindly about me in Spanish not knowing that I capfuls understand EVERYTHING that they were saying.
I asked the young lady why did she call me to tell me to bring back the pizza made incorrectly. She said that she called the “top boss” after the gentleman told me that my pizza would be remade and that he told her to call me and tell me that I had to bring the pizza made in error. ♀️
So I get the pizza. I did not look that good. I speak to the gentleman that delivered the other pizza. Then I recounted the whole situation to him in Spanish so that they would know that I understood & knew EVERYTHING that they were talking about so that they would know not to EVER do that again.
I get the pizza home. It’s terrible. Hardly any sauce, barely any cheese, hardly any flavor.
I will NOT be ordering from them again!!!
GO SOME PLACE ELSE.
