I gave them the benefit of the doubt when we got our burrito that we paid extra for extra meat last time and they didn’t put it in. This time I called and they said I could walk back or contact them tomorrow for a refund.

Roberto’s Mexican Food located at 1900 N Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas, CA 92024 is an excellent Mexican Food takeout spot. Great shells and fillings! Friendly service too.
The local city council is making it impossible to do business however with their absurd “no outdoor seating” mandates coming forward. This local shop thrives on having a few seating spots available outside and the audacity to restrict that is really stupid from the City. Those who mandated that need to be replaced – vote their raggedy tails out of office if that is the case!!! They are replaceable – make it happen. Thousands will see this as I get over 300,000 daily views to my reviews, don’t let the city bully this great establishment. Do the right/just thing and make exceptions for places like this to exist! You have zero good/valid reason to restrict them – keep your jobs and don’t do that.

Always an excellent meal here. Roberto’s is the staple of Mexican food on the coast. Todays carne Asada burrito and rolled tacos were perfect. This is a very small walk in counter order shop that kicks food out fast! Lunch time is very busy.

The carnitas are great – the asada is a bit dry. But you know what you’re getting from Roberto’s – compounding memories. The tacos are the size of a small burrito and the burritos are a meal and a half.

Discovered this place in 2014, when on vacation. Got the carne asada burrito then and get it every time I come back. It is always chock full of deliciously seasoned beef. 10 years running same high quality food, same professional and awesome staff. My kids love this place too. Be aware that there is not a lot of seating for, all outside. Don’t let that stop you, grab the food and find a spot with a great view to enjoy your meal.

Roberto’s is a great place near the beach to grab a burrito. We had the breakfast burrito with sausage, egg and cheese. It was big enough to share. The salsa was great and the flour tortillas was awesome. This is a fast service place within walking distance from the beach.

Suddenly, I was overwhelmed with about at least a dozen other humanity all hungry ready 2 order.
Im autistic with PTSD & social phobias & BEAT A HASTY RETREAT & scampered out yhe door from where I was standing in the corner area. Also, I had just driven 1000 miles from Oregon & Washington State and was exhausted and not yet recovered from all 1500 miles..
Thats Nobody’s fault but mines own. I have WORK RELATED PTSD & very skittish of sudden appearances of crowds of folks at nearly 3pm & blocking the exits..
I went to KFC instead …its all good, im feeling much better now after the long drive; thanks..
