We tried a few different oysters and they were all incredibly fresh and delicious. We also tried out their calamari, which was perfectly cooked and really well seasoned. I ordered the blackened snapper sandwich and it was honestly one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had. It was packed with flavor and just really well done. My husband had the fried haddock sandwich and said it was excellent as well.
The sides were just as good. The truffle fries were crispy and flavorful, and the hush puppies were great with a sweet/spicy flavor from the pepper jelly. We also took home the apple crumble cheesecake and the chocolate cake, and both were absolutely worth it.
The service was outstanding, especially considering how busy it was for Valentine’s Day. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very taken care of the entire time. Their drinks we’re also a highlight. Highly recommend the Guava + Key Lime Spritzer or their Hurricane.
The atmosphere was bright, open, and comfortable. Sitting on the right side of the oyster bar gave us plenty of room and didn’t feel cramped at all.
Overall, easily a five star visit. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend it!
Then the lobster Roll. They used salted butter on the bun which over salted the flavors so I could not eat the lobster withe the bun. The fries were under cooked making them dry and hard to swallow so they could not be eaten.
The fried chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly but agian the fries were under cooked.
The desserts were delicious. One of the best key lime pies I’ve ever had.
The service was excellent.
Would I go here again? Maybe.
I will say, we did wait 20 minutes for our 7pm reservation/table. It wasn’t too bad though because we snagged 2 seats at the bar while we waited.
One thing that made things confusing with the service was that they had a lot of runners that helped the servers. You’d think that would help expedite things, which it may have for the speediness of our food coming out, but it allowed for little things to slip.
Miscommunication with getting new silverware, missing my crackers/hot sauce for my oysters, several asks for more water to the server & the runners who all forgot. I don’t think our server was stretched too thin (he may have had 4 tables?) so they need to work on making sure the communication of service if relayed, beyond just bringing out the food.
I wish Google allowed me a 4.5 star selection vs just a 4 or 5 (4.5 is where overall Roberto’s is currently sitting at) because this is a solid, delicious date night spot. Just need some improvements on service (also very friendly across the board too). Thank you! We will be back!
Woodstock just got a whole lot more exciting for seafood lovers! Roberto’s Deluxe Oysters and Fine Fish, nestled neatly in the heart of downtown, has quickly become my new favorite spot. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a vibrant atmosphere that’s both upscale and inviting. The centerpiece of the restaurant is undoubtedly the stunning glass case overflowing with the freshest and best unique selection of oysters I’ve ever seen in this area.
But the true star of the show is the food. Roberto’s boasts an incredible menu selection of fresh fish, expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. Honestly, it was some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. The quality of the ingredients truly shines through in every dish.
Beyond the incredible food, the service at Roberto’s is exceptional. The waitstaff is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about seafood. They made excellent recommendations(Scallops WOW) and ensured our dining experience was nothing short of delightful. We tried the octopus, oysters, red snapper, hush puppies and scallops. All were stunning. They even spent time interacting with our baby which was comforting and a nice gesture.
They have ample seating both inside and out. There are a limited number of seats on the Main St side but these are completely shaded which was great for a warm day. The other seating is on a patio between two buildings that is ample but not covered. Just something to note.
Roberto’s Deluxe is a fantastic addition to Woodstock’s dining scene. It offers a unique and upscale experience that’s perfect for a special occasion or a memorable night out. Whether you’re a seafood aficionado or simply looking for a delicious and well-prepared meal, Roberto’s Deluxe is a must-try!
The only negative for this restaurant was that they didn’t have any sweet tea. They had iced tea that they could add simple syrup to but this is the south, you need sweet tea.
