We stopped in Sunday , late afternoon, for dinner. Everything was wonderful! The decor is very nice and the music playing in the background was beautiful- a variety from Andrea Bocelli to Sinatra and classical, it was so pleasant! Our meals were delicious- please have the chicken picatta it is awesome!! We will be back!

We never been and wanted some italian food. It was Valentine’s day and my husband said pick a place. I had the lasagna and my husband had alfredo with shrimp& scallops. Both dinners were delicious. The garlic knots were a nice treat. We for sure be back to try some other meals.

My fiancé and I wanted to try out Roberto’s tonight and we sure are glad we did! Our server Jenna was super attentive and friendly. Our appetizers and entrée’s came out fast and the restaurant is clean and organized. We had the Fried Meat Ravioli and Cheesy Garlic Bread for our apps. Then the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad and Ravioli with Meat Sauce for our entrée’s. Overall we had amazing experience! The owner even came out and spoke to us which surprised us for being in Tappahannock! We will definitely be back! 10/10 highly recommend!!!

I took my family to Roberto’s this evening. Roberto is a congenial host, knowledgeable about Italian wine. The waitresses are attentive but not obtrusive. The Veal Scallopini was spectacular with the house Chianti. My wife enjoyed her lasagna. A guest had gnocchi which was also good, particularly if you like potato based pasta. The bread came with the meal and was excellent. It was good for sopping, so I left very little sauce, or anything else, on my plate. Well done, Roberto & Staff! We will return.

Highly recommend the Sausage Roll it’s under the Calzone section. We also had the Tuscany pasta, the sauce wasn’t a big hit for me but the shrimp and scallops were good.The Spaghetti Alla Roberto was amazing, the meatballs were the best I have ever had!
The Tiramisu is amazing, we will go back just for that!
Friendly and fast service, we placed it to go.
We thought the prices were good and the portions were generous!

My son and I went around 9pm last night for a late dinner. It was our first time eating there. The hostess, waitresses and I think the owner were all friendly smiling faces. There were 2 other tables there eating and we made the third. We ordered a bunch of stuff to try, the bang bang shrimp, my son ordered hot buffalo wings with ranch(they have an add on charge for the one sauce that we thought came with it, but on the bill it was extra), I ordered a Philly cheese steak with grilled onions and we got an order of cheese fries. The shrimp were fried really well, but the sauce needed more sweet chili sauce… it tasted like mayo only with not enough spicy kick. With more sweet chili sauce they would’ve been a 10/10. My son said his wings were good 8/10 but he said the hot wasn’t hot enough lol. My cheese steak was good, I just had to add more seasoning. 7/10. And my son didn’t care for the fries, he said they were soggy. I thought they were good enough 7/10. All in all, we would visit again!

The food is excellent, nice atmosphere, and the owner was on site, making sure everything was right. They recently opened so give the wait staff a little grace as they learn the ropes. We had garlic knots, fried zucchini, eggplant parmigiana, lasagna, spaghetti, manicotti, and chicken parmigiana. Everything tasted great, and different. After we paid the check, the owner insisted we try some funnel sticks covered in confectioners sugar — and they were terrific. Really nice people. My mom once asked her favorite restaurant’s secret for their marina sauce and the owner told her: “You need to be Italian or be taught how to make it by someone who’s Italian.” This place fits the bill.

This was our second time eating here under the new ownership. We were greeted and seated promptly. The owner made his rounds with a big smile, making sure everyone is happy. Our server, Nykira, was perfection!
I had the Tour of Italy and my husband had the Veal Parmigiana. I think we took home just as much as we ate!
The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable.
This is a wonderful addition to Tappahannock!

September 2025 We celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday there. All of our cocktails were made to perfection and the espresso martini was 10/10! The owner took all the orders at the same time, I was worried it would take forever. But all orders came out together, hot and delicious. He has a team of excellent cooks, we were blown away. I’ve ordered there 2more times since then in less than a month! The garlic knots is my new fav item!

The atmosphere is nice.
We waited for about an hour for the food. We weren’t even checked on during that time, and had to reach out to another server for a drink refill when she walked by.
My husband and I went to Roberto on Valentine’s day. My shrimp scampi had 8 shrimp, and was lacking garlic. My husband’s veal picatta was by itself, and had no spaghetti pasta. The VP was plain tasting, a small portion, and was tough. My husband had to ask for spaghetti when our server passed by.
This was not a good experience for us.
