We were walking down Hollywood Boulevard when we ran into E. at the entrance of this restaurant. He graciously encouraged us to come in — and I’m so glad we did.
The food was beyond anything I’ve experienced before — incredible quality, generous portions, beautiful presentation, and absolutely amazing flavor. Every detail was on point. The service was fantastic, the desserts were phenomenal, and the atmosphere was stunning.
The chefs are authentic Japanese, and you can truly taste the craftsmanship in every dish. The drinks were just as impressive.
Our server, Mia, was incredibly kind, knew the menu inside and out, and made us feel completely at home — along with everyone else on the team. The entire staff was warm, welcoming, and full of smiles.
Hailee recommended it — and we will definitely be back.
Don’t miss this place, guys. It’s one you absolutely have to try.

I had the chance to attend the grand opening of Robata JINYA in Hollywood through a media invite, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish.
The staff went above and beyond, and our server Tanzie deserves a special shout‑out — attentive, friendly, and made the whole night flow perfectly. The food was presented beautifully and came out like a parade of flavors: ceviche, eggplant miso, homemade tofu, shrimp toast, duck breast, chicken namdan, robata yaki skewers, hot stone wagyu rice, and desserts like matcha tiramisu and ube Mont Blanc. Every dish was creative and memorable.
The drinks were just as impressive — Matcha Lychee and Kiwi Sparkler stood out as unique highlights. While I stuck with tea, it was clear the bar team put as much thought into the beverages as the kitchen did with the food.
Overall, Robata JINYA Hollywood is a must‑visit. Excellent service, inventive menu, and a lively atmosphere. Five stars all the way. And one reminder for fellow guests: don’t forget to tip your servers — they make the experience what it is.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was fantastic sleek, stylish, and authentically Japanese in a very cool way. The food quality was excellent. We ordered the $150 omakase, and it exceeded all expectations. Every piece of sushi was outstanding, and the wagyu sukiyaki was absolutely incredible.
The cocktail selection was impressive, with many unique options, and everything we tried was delicious. The presentation of each course was thoughtfully done and truly enjoyable, making the entire experience feel special.

We love Robata JINYA Hollywood and cannot wait to return to just sit at the bar as we are locals who live up Whitley and excited that after much contraction time, they are finally open. It was worth the wait! Upon entering this incredible space one feels bold. It’s a great high quality curation of decor and true New York meet Tokyo power design. There is an Indoor glass area and can lend itself to open atrium summers and good Bir birthday parties or a deeply sexy dining room areas with massive murals and ceremonial Bells that I would love to one day hear ring! As I learned ‘Robata’ means the method of how meat is cooked over a flame so I learned about it and then made sure to get a variation of these types of foods. The cocktails are well made and complex and we were grateful to these very much. They do sushi very very well here and I love the Crazy Gone Crazy. The best ice cream also lives here which was a beautiful blend of walnuts and surprises of mint. This spot is perfect for Hollywood and in the best location to all the best of Hollywood’s high end cocktail scene. The staff is sharply dressed and has a wonderful and positive attitude. Everyone hired here just seems to fit here. ‘E’ the door man is amazingly kind and sets the tone of both protection from the Hollywood streets but the warmth of a good friend. Senna the Hostess is a great beam of light with charm and made us feel welcomed. She is so fun and perfect for this brand and experience. Our server named Raven is amazing and did the best run down of the menu for me and really knows how to combine and beautify this dining experience. Jonathan is another great server who adds a great east coast vibe to the place and is attentive and commanding in an authentic and natural demeanor. Ceaser dominates the bar and made our anniversary incredibly special. As this spot can also be a last minute night cap option as they close at 10pm mid week so just get there by 9:15 so one can savor these incredibly well made cocktails and still have time for a 2nd or dare I say 3rd. As a Hollywood local for years I have wonted this so badly and grateful to those who opened it up here. We have needed the former ‘Geisha House’ scene to come back for years as this is a vibe within a vibe that we have been waiting for.

12/11/2025 – Had a fine dining during the Grand Opening period and was impressed with the intimate ambience, a verity of great dishes with an excellent presentation. Both Expresso and Lychee martini are just average.

Tonight I had a great experience. I came in for a work dinner and truly enjoyed it from start to finish. The restaurant offers great happy hour deals and the sushi is excellent quality. The matcha duck appetizer is an absolute must-try.
