This place is a local legend. I thought the hot dogs. Were good, but not great but the biggest problem I have is with the parking in the area. Hard to find sidewalk parking and the parking lots are high. It becomes a costly endeavor.

Joke of a place. This “large” chili cheese fries has no cheese and looks awful. This cost 10 bucks… fix your service and Items. It doesn’t taste right either it’s so gross. The fries are soggy and taste like cinnamon.. the hot dogs are okay not very good. The cheese tastes really weird and made me gag. Wouldn’t recommend or order again. Sonic is better than this. I think they pay for reviews cause there’s no they actually have 4.7 stars on Door dash with this type of quality.

Established in 1916, this multi generational local establishment has been part of the heartbeat and literal flavor of downtown Roanoke, VA. Known for their Weiners with mustard, onion and chili toppings, it’s IMPOSSIBLE to have just one. They also have S.C. BBQ sandwich, a new item flavored w mustard bbq, quickly becoming a favorite of the local gent I visited with. Their crinkle fries are a perfect addition to any meal you get here. This is THE perfect place when you want to satisfy a quick hunger bite when you’re on the verge of being hangry, lol.

This is a family tradition! My husband, his Dad, and brother grew up in Roanoke and LOVE the hot dogs! Every hot dog gets compared to these and every hotdog fails in comparison!

Excellent place for a Roanoke tradition. The Roanoke Weiner stand has been around for ages. We stop by every time we are in town and never leave disappointed. Try a hot dog all the way (chili, onions, mustard) and you’ll never go back.

Food was so bad . I’ve never paid 10$ for two hot dogs and a fry and drink. Worse food I’ve ever tasted in my life and I’ve been to a lot of places

I have eaten at the weiner stand since I was a child..On Monday I purchased what I believe to be the worst hot dogs ever, the girl working there put chilli on my hot dog that had to be atleast 3 days old, it was not the chilli they once had, I didn’t realize it til we were in the car heading home, dont waste your money, or your time, if you are looking for a great hot dog, try COOKOUT..The server should be embarrassed to make and sale an awful hot dog to your face…NEVER AGAIN..ABSOLUTELY AWFUL

I have been eating here since I was two years old and i am now 55. My dad took us there and it was a nice treat. I have many fond memories. The food use to be great, not now half cooked fries and the hotdogs taste different. The chili taste old. The girls behind the counter do not understand English and they are very rude. Please get better employees!! Please get employees that know how to cook fries the right way! Also, it cost 11.00 for the combo, wouldn’t be bad if the food was edible! I am so disappointed!
