5/5 stars for everything except… 10 for service! Great NY pizza joint tucked back in this little shopping center. I would 1000% come here again or order delivery. Owner is incredibly friendly, atmosphere is fun like a NY/NJ boardwalk spot, and the pizza is excellent. The crust has perfect crisp, slice is foldable and flavor is exactly what you want from NY pizza! And they do “by the slice” too with good looking lunch combos. Just being honest this place beats the delivery chains hands down.

Sal’s NY Slice Pizzeria at 5604 Princess Anne Rd
It was early Sunday in the afternoon and this pizza place caught my eye while driving by.
I figured why not get a pizza slice.
I was welcomed with a clean and neat interior with simple chairs and tables with blue, well designed, covers and a friendly woman working the register.
After asking for a menu, I saw they offered a lot more than your popular Italian pie.
So, I didn’t ask for a slice. I got the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and broccoli instead.
My salad that it came with was fresh complete with red onions, green peppers, croutons, and crisp lettuce which was not at all soggy. Of course, I had to have ranch with it.
The Alfredo pasta was almost authentically perfect with the sauce made from parmesan according to the nice woman. I added more parmesan from the shaker which contributed a more powdered texture to my meal. The sauce was rich and creamy. The shrimp was tender and the broccoli added a soft crunch. I liked it! You can tell the meal had this homemade charm and it tasted like it. It was quite good!
The soft bread was delicious with a punch of garlic and butter but not too overwhelming. It was not brittle or dry and it was tasty!
Overall, a nice charming takeout or sit down place where you can enjoy a delightful meal guaranteed to leave you full!

We tried the Meat Lover Calzones and Strombolis, and they were absolutely delicious! The flavors were spot on, with plenty of filling and gooey cheese baked inside perfectly golden crust. The portion sizes were huge — even the regular size was more than enough to share.
The customer service was also excellent. Everyone was super friendly and made us feel welcome. Great food, generous portions, and perfect service — can’t ask for more. We’ll definitely be back!

It couldn’t have been any better! Honestly, this was the most amazing meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The service was outstanding, and the staff were not only friendly but went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food portions were way larger than I expected, absolutely delicious, and at a very reasonable price. The place has a beautiful design as well. I was just visiting this city on a trip and chose this place for lunch—if I lived here, I would come every single day!

First time at Sal’s. Decent pizza, I wish all non-pork pepperoni was this good. All the meats are pork free. I had one slice, $4. It was decent, with good flavor. Sauce had a nice tang, and the cheese was okay. Not as good as the Benny’s chain and perhaps just a bit under Delvecchio’s, but a decent slice. Foldable.
The service was very nice. People are terrific here, very helpful, and kind. The standard slice condiments were there, and I availed myself off the cheese, cracked red pepper flakes, and a touch of garlic.
The dining room was clean and neat with a giant monster dominating the room. I don’t know why it’s there, but I did enjoy its presence.
I would go back. Nice people, lower price point. Better than Marco’s across the street, but only just better.
Go visit, you won’t regret it.

12/16/22: Update…I can’t stop coming here. Had a lunch date with my wife and ate inside. Great relaxing atmosphere. Have I mentioned the pizza is superb?
I came here for a quick lunch and got two Italian sausage/pepperoni slices to go and it took just 3 minutes from order! The pizza was awesome and it was so good that for dinner, you guessed it, I ordered pizza for the family! We’re definitely coming back again! Support this small business as much as you can. You won’t be disappointed!!

Ordered a extra large pizza which was okay but the dough was tough. Also ordered the veal parmesan and the via was dry and the pasta was overcooked and mushy. I was happy that they gave a lot of sauce however. They give you sandwich bread for garlic toast which is a shame because they make garlic knots. So it’d make more sense to give one of those with a pasta dish. They could have completely left the bread out. It wasn’t very good.

Philly deluxe is did not come with any thing. Paid $17.00 after tip for 2 pieces of cheese on a steak ums with a few onions. Sorry, but I can not afford mediocre sandwiches. Lacked seasoning but better than Subways.

I am not upset, I find it hard to find a great Philly near my work. Yours is ok, but I think I will stick to your pizza. Which I find great and hits the spot for lunch.
