Chicken is almost always top notch. I recommend getting the spice level hot. Price is fair too. The service has always been friendly, although if it’s very busy it could take up to 15 minutes or so. The inside of the restaurant is small and basic, however its fine for a quick meal. Considering most people are getting food to go this its not a large issue. I would recommend this location to anyone wanting some chicken for the game.

This is the best Roaming Rooster location. The fries are greasy and tender and taste like real potatoes. The sandwiches are juicy and full of flavorful slaw. Yummmm. Be careful, the “hot” and “extra hot” spice levels are really hot.

I live upstairs and had only tried this restaurant once before then I just ordered food tonight. It is amazing very flavorful chicken and fries, plus the fries are a HUGE portion. I ordered 3 fries for my 2 small kids and myself and the portion is so big that I could have gotten one order and us split it. Very satisfied with the portions and the quality of the food, and I love how they give a slice of bread and pickles with every chicken order, it reminds me of NC and the food I grew up eating. The cashier was very lovely, and I couldn’t help myself but tell her how stunning she is, ya know woman to woman . I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich and with the vinegar and coleslaw it’s nostalgic and should be called NC BBQ style bc that’s the real NC BBQ style, but maybe that’s how they make it in Nashville too, I guess

Stopped in town for a couple days and I was recommended this spot, I was not disappointed. 1. I was supporting my East African people 2. The customer service was very good and 3. The food was superb. The chicken was nice and moist, the fries hot and crispy and they give you a good amount of them. Will definitely return on my next trip to DC.
