Retro-inspired Roadside B&G is a casually cool bar and grill with that old, Northern Michigan roadhouse feel. We serve up creative American fare in a playful space full of nostalgic touches. You’ll find creative comfort food as well as selections for seafood lovers and vegetarians alike. We’re just a bit down the road on US Highway 24, so drive over any time for drinks, dinner, lunch or weekend brunch.

The French onion soup and the filet mignon were delicious! The filet had amazing onions and mashed potatoes served with it which brought the whole meal together. I really enjoyed it. My boyfriend got the whitefish with crab and he said that he wouldn’t have liked it as much without the crab. While it was cooked perfectly, he noted that it didn’t have a lot of flavor (which is probably typical for this type of fish). He wished he got the salmon instead and maybe would have enjoyed that more. Nice atmosphere and service. They serve warm biscuits which are a nice touch. My cocktail, the Pink Panther, was refreshing and delicious.

Such a cool place to stop in to have a drink at an appetizer. We had the warm potato chips appetizer and they were delicious! The service is also really nice and the ambience welcoming! Our server was Jola and she was up beat, nice, funny and attentive!!! Highly recommended!

They have a private room/garden which was absolutely perfect for my market/garden themed bridal shower. The staff and food were both absolutely top-tier. Attentive, thoughtful, and helpful. The venue had more linen options than I expected and it added an extra special touch. The space was fun to transform but unique enough that it doesn’t need much. The deposit and minimum spending was reasonable.
They had gluten free options. One of my Guests wanted the chicken salad without the bread and saved her appetizer salad to put the chicken salad on top of.. she said she really enjoyed that and suggests it as another GF option! Also had vegetarian options that made me wanting to come back and try. Icebox cake was SO good, the banana pudding ice cream looked delicious though, too.

Roadside B&G is a wonderful place to dine in if you are looking for high quality dishes. The staff were great and friendly. Our server, Jola, was very helpful with menu decorations and drinks. I had the sea scallops while my wife had the filet. We also split the icebox cake. All three dishes were phenomenal in quality and taste. An excellent place to dine in. The majority of the menu is seafood, but there is enough options for everyone. The wine list is lengthy and the other alcoholic drinks are plentiful. HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Every time I come here the service is just exceptional. The staff are amazingly friendly and check on you and make sure you’re enjoying everything you’ve ordered.
I went with a few friends and we all got drinks. I ordered the Strawberry Blossom and a friend got the Italian Spritz. I really enjoyed my drink.
The table ordered chips and guacamole to share. And the guacamole was good, nothing amazing but the chips were just okay. Idk, I felt like they tasted a little off.
For food I ordered tomato basil soup, it was a 10/10. Loved it. Only wish I was a smoother texture. And I got a Michigan Salad. Very simple and straight forward. No complaints, other than the size. It was small for $10. The dressing was really good with it.
We also ordered the crab omelette, which was really lovely and a Salmon Salad. All wonderful. The table received biscuits that were just wonderful as well.

I had the roadside burger and the short rib tacos. Both were excellent! The service was top tier as well. Friendly, checked in on us, but not overbearing. The price per person is about $20-$30, but everything was excellent. This is one of those places where the extra money does deliver better food.

The customer service from Amy was superb. She was very helpful and knowledgeable with the menu options and specials. The appetizers were so good I ordered the Short Rib Tacos for my meal. We shared the Pineapple Upside-down Cake and it was also delicious…

Recommend reservations-we were there at 5 o’clock on a Saturday and they were busy from the time we got there until we left about two hours later-
Service was excellent. Very friendly. Our favorite is the risotto with scallops and it just so happened in this last visit they ran out of scallops. (5 pm) So three of us were able to get the dish and two other people had to settle on something else-Which isn’t horrible because we enjoy their salmon, stacked ribs, burgers, meatloaf… But it was disappointing that so early in the evening and with a scallop special they ran out of them- you know what it’s like when you have your stomach set on something Also noted the varying sizes of the scallops- Some were rather small in comparison to the others. And our dinner guest had half of a scallop. That must’ve been when they ran out. we wondered who got the other half
