Dropped in on our way back from Calgary one day a few months back.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice bunch of taxidermy to look at. But can get very loud and hard to hear and talk. Enjoyed the fast and friendly services tho from the server’s. The potato skins weren’t all that great. But the Club house made up for it that’s for sure.

Food was very plentiful, good flavour. Service was quite slow. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for the type of place this exactly bills itself as. Beef dip was soft and juicy. Yam fries were decent.

The Roadhouse Restaurant in Strathmore absolutely deserves five stars. The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is always friendly, and the food never disappoints. I especially recommend the Farmer’s Breakfast — it’s hearty, delicious, and the perfect way to start the day. Everything comes out hot, fresh, and full of flavour, with generous portions and a great variety on the menu. A reliable, enjoyable spot every time. Highly recommend!

Before moving to Calgary, this was my absolute go-to spot for wings and more. I always loved coming here.
I visited again after a few years and was just as impressed as before. The service was great, and the food, especially the wings, was delicious. I was tempted to get their steak sandwich, which was their steak sandwich night, but I wanted to get wings with my wife. Maybe next time!
My wife was surprised by how nice the decor was and didn’t expect it from the outside. She also liked how the bar side was quiet and didn’t have loud music.
Once we sat down, our server promptly came to us and asked us what we wanted to drink. We both got beers, which came quickly. Afterward, we ordered ten wings: Caesar hot, lemon pepper, BBQ, and honey garlic. They came out hot and delicious. My wife was shocked at how big they were and was super impressed with them.
The total was $40, which is extremely reasonable for everything. I hope we’ll definitely stop by again when we’re back in Strathmore.

The folks at the hotel said I “needed to eat at the Road House” and they were absolutely correct! The best (by far) steak sandwich I’ve had. The very pleasant bar tender and the other servers all offered me the same recommendation (try the steak and add the side mushrooms) so I took it and it was AMAZING!

Having been long time customers of the Roadhouse I of course choose to go in for my birthday dinner at 5:30 pm, and the experience was extremely disappointing. An underage girl took our drink order and only brought my husband a water, saying the waitress would bring the rest of the drinks. There were delays with both drinks and food. While my exact times may be slightly off, the manager later stated she had the exact times and that they were “acceptable,” despite what followed.
We ordered wings and our meals. The first wings came out ice cold and were sent back. Hot wings were brought out about two minutes before our meals arrived, which felt rushed and disorganized rather than corrected.
My husband ordered his steak medium, I ordered medium-well. Mine came rare, his came medium-well — essentially swapped. My friend ordered her meal with no gravy, yet her potatoes arrived smothered in gravy and had to be sent back. Her chicken then tasted rancid, so it was sent back as well.
When the manager came out, her tone was rude and angry. She asked my friend to explain what tasted off about the chicken, then stated that she tasted it and it was “fine.” The chicken was never brought back, yet my friend was still charged for it.
I never asked for anything to be comped — I asked for accountability. Instead, we were met with excuses, dismissiveness, and an angry tone from management. A 10% discount was applied, but the chicken fingers that were sent back were never replaced.
Of course Idid get my birthday meal and cake for free. So that cancelled out the horrible experience according to the manager.
Poor organization, unacceptable food quality, and unprofessional management. This was not acceptable service — birthday or not.

Good place to eat, the atmosphere is modern and re-done in the last few years. Can’t go wrong with the food and it’s priced very reasonably.
The service is good and they’re super friendly and nice which is a good touch.

Roadhouse has a hearty serving of food which are very filling and worth the bucks, the flavors are a delight as it is perfectly seasoned and well cooked. I ordered the beef liver which is very nice a well recommended with the mushroomy sauce and crispy bacon on top and a good side dish of mashed potatoes and vegetables.
Other dishes are excellent as well starting from the clam chowder, caesar salad, pasta and the steak, wonderfuly served to your preference.
Employees are friendly, accomodating, polite and easy to talk to if requesting for something or billing out.
The interior of the restaurant has plenty of tables to accomodate a lot of customers even at the time I was there a party is being held. Tables, chairs floors are clean and the washroom as well. There are a lot of interesting designs and picture frames along the wall that portrays the Canadian way of life.
Will go back and dine if I am passing by the area if they could improve the temperature inside the restaurant which was very hot during the afternoon time I was there probably the AC was busted I don’t know about the other patrons but it was uncomfortably toasty inside, luckily I was sitting just beside the window and opened it to let some fresh air in.
Overall it was a pleasant experience, food is excellent, service is fast, dining area is clean. Thank you
